Mortal Kombat Screens

Mortal Kombat has gone gold and Warner Bros. Interactive sent out a bunch of celebratory screenshots. Check out Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, and Mileena in action. (Is it me, or did Mileena’s boobs grow to Dead or Alive levels?) The game is out later this month and loads of game writers are loving it. The early buzz is that this will be Mortal Kombat’s return to glory.

Any of you interested in this game?!? Perhaps this would be a good choice for an RPad.tv Invitational Tournament. Please let me know.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Wondercon Screens

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment showed off Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters at WonderCon 2011. Here are the screens. There’s some cool stuff here. I love the one of Hal Jordan facing off against Thaal Sinestro. Naturally, Hal makes a construct shaped like a giant fist (where’s the giant boxing glove?!?). The manhunters look pretty menacing. Sadly, Hal’s costume looks like a rotting piece of salmon nigiri.

Check out the screens and let me know what you think (please)!

Batman Arkham City Screens (Is Harley Hot?)

Here’s a fresh batch of screens from Batman Arkham City. The Joker totally creeps me out and I’m strangely attracted to this version of Harley Quinn. Do any of you feel the same way? Or am I just being a freak?

Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Screens: Prishe From FFXI

The latest batch of Dissidia 012 [duodecim] screens features Prishe from Final Fantasy XI. I thought the first game was above average, but I completely marked out when heroes and villains from different Final Fantasy games shared the screen. While I don’t expect a dramatic improvement in terms of gameplay (I could be wrong), I know that I’ll mark out when FF worlds collide in Dissidia 012. Additions like Lightning, Tifa, Prishe, and others up the ante.

Check out the screens and let me know what you think (please)!

Dungeon Siege III Screenshots

Here are some screens for the upcoming action-RPG Dungeon Siege III. I enjoyed the first two installments of the series by the excellent Gas Powered Games and I’m curious to see where Obsidian takes things. Obsidian has done a fine job creating follow-ups to strong originals (Neverwinter Nights 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, etc.) but was recently dinged for Alpha Protocol. I like those guys and I hope they do well with this game.

If you have a moment, kindly check out the screens and share your feelings like a Care Bear.

Batman Arkham City Screens

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a handful of screens for highly anticipated Batman: Arkham City. The follow-up to arguably the best comic-book videogame of all time, Arkham City has tremendous shoes to fill. While screenshots only tell part of the story, at the very least Arkham City should make Batman look better than ever! Check it out.

Virtua Tennis 4 Screens and Artwork

Sega just sent out a bunch of sweet screens for the upcoming Virtua Tennis 4. As a longtime fan of the series and a former competitive tennis player, I’m really looking forward to this game. As a videogame verbal entertainter, I’m interested in VF4 since it supports motions controls for Wii, PlayStation Move, and Kinect. It’s motiontastic!

Any of you interested in buying this game? If so, for which platform?

Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Screens: Tifa and Lightning!

The latest batch of Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy screens adds some girl power with Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII) and Tifa (Final Fantasy VII). Laguna’s there too…but he’s not nearly as interesting (for boys). While I enjoyed the first Dissidia, the gameplay was a tiny bit lacking. The sequel should be a deeper experience. I’ll definitely play it just so I can mark out at different Final Fantasy characters sharing the screen.

Kindly check out the screens and let me know if you’re interested in Dissidia 012 [duodecim] and if you’ve been calling it Dissidia 012 Dewey Decimal System. What Final Fantasy character match-ups fill your dreams? I want to see Faris (Final Fantasy V) and Vivi (Final Fantasy IX)!

Get Psyched for thatgamecompany’s Journey

Here are some screenshots and a video of thatgamecompany’s upcoming PlayStation 3 title, Journey. As some of you will recall, I was incredibly bummed that I didn’t get the opportunity to see it at E3 2010. Like Flower, the game looks incredibly stylish and elicits emotion in a unique way. While Flower left gamers with a sense of joy, Journey has a desolate feel. Also, between this game and Uncharted 3, my PlayStation 3 will become a virtual sandbox in 2011 ( the year of sand?).

Anyway, check out the goodies and let me know what you think (please)! I’m so, So, SO psyched for this game and hope that some of you are too.

Binary Domain Screens, From the Producer of Yakuza

Kindly check out these screens of Sega’s upcoming Binary Domain for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This squad-based shooter is being headed up by Toshihiro Nagoshi, best known as the producer on the Yakuza and Super Monkey Ball Games. In a recent press release, Nagoshi described his vision for Binary Domain:

What I wanted to create this time was a dramatic and energetic sci-fi shooter. When you hear sci-fi you may think of cold, clinical environments but with Binary Domain I wanted to combine this with a deep human drama. The keyword we have in mind for this project is ’Life’. I wanted to make something that will be accepted by both the Japanese and Western markets, and this fundamental theme is something everyone knows but which the full extent of can be difficult to grasp.

It sounds cool on paper! What do y’all think of Binary Domain’s concept and screens?
