This Week’s Videogame Releases

There are lots of great games hitting shelves this week! In the immortal words of Michael Buffer (or Triple H), “Are you ready?!?” Enslaved has been getting great buzz from the enthusiast press. I really liked this game at E3 2010 and can’t wait to jump into it. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow just might be the first great modern Castlevania game. Although I hate the use of Michael Jordan as a cover athlete (go Pistons!), NBA 2K11 looks pretty hot. I’m not going to play it, but I sure as hell want to watch other people give Def Jam Rapstar a go. Last, but not least, is Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, which is one of my personal favorites of 2010.

Any of you picking up new games this week?

  1. I played the Enslaved Demo on XBL and I can see myself getting that game in a few months.

  2. I wasn't impressed with the Enslaved demo. I like the art and the setting, but the gameplay just seemed choppy to me. I'll pass.

I might get NBA2K11, but with DR2 and NHL 11 to preoccupy me until Fallout: New Vegas drops… I may not.

I am planning however on taking the kids to Magic Mountain the weekend before Fallout drops.

  3. Preordered 2k11 a month ago. Just got charged by Amazon. It will be waiting on me at home tomorrow. Might pick up Castlevania at bestbuy since you get a SotN download code.

  4. @tokz

Check their ad. It was attached to a 360 cover but I don't think there were any ps3 images this week. Could be for both though.

  5. Wow, they upped the date on Castlevania???? Freaking hell, wasn't prepared for that b/c I was under the assumption that it still came out on the 19th. Well that prolly delays my purchase.

On a side note, spent about 5-6 hrs yesterday getting a new HDD installed in my ps3 lol. When we picked up Smackdown vs Raw 2010 and Atelier Rorona we got the msg that we had less then 500mb left! So now she supports a happy 500g instead of the 60g lol.
