One of the coolest parts of BlizzCon 2010 was checking out all the great cosplayers. From World of Warcraft to StarCraft, the show had some of the best costumes I’ve seen at an American show. Here’s a video — along with some wise-ass commentary — featuring the excellent cosplay at BlizzCon 2010.

Someone has stolen Etna’s (Disgaea) panties and only her prinny minions can recover them in Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties. I absolutely love this trailer. It’s full of the famous Disgaea charm and humor. The first Prinny game was totally fun, but ridiculously hard. I’m looking for more of the same in Prinny 2. After all, you get 1,000 lives.

According to Nintendo of American president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo’s immediate threats are Apple, Zynga, the Internet, and newspapers. He recently told Forbes:

Video Games Live: Level 2 comes out this week on Blu-ray and DVD. If you haven’t seen one of these shows — an excellent orchestral and rock performance of numerous popular videogame songs — then I highly recommend picking up this disc. My Google Alerts pointed me to this Reuters story which claims that Sony has cut the price of the PSPgo to $199 USD. I checked a few online retailers, including the lovely Amazon.com, and the price has indeed been cut. Do you guys and dolls care? Would you pay $199 for this sleek, stylish, and discless portable gaming system? Or is $199 still too much (especially for a PSP that can’t play UMD games)? More importanly, black or white?!?
This is probably 2010’s most important week in gaming since WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 — the early pick to win “best writing” awards from every publication and professional organization in the civilized world — comes out this week. You should all buy this game (I’ll even autograph your box!). You want to hear about the other games too? Why?!? Oh…I’ll humor you.
Fable III is a huge exclusive for the Xbox 360 and currently ranked #1 on Amazon’s sales charts. If music is your bag then you’ll want to pick up the new and exciting Rock Band 3. Jedis, ewoks, and gungans alike are anxiously awaiting Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. Activision hopes the kids will get back into skateboarding games with Tony Hawk Shred (not to be confused with Tony Hawk Shrek). The Sims 3 looks like it’ll be the best console version of the franchise yet. Finally, if you’re late to the game, here are two collected editions with DLC and all: Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition and Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition.

– BlizzCon 2010 is done! I had a really good time at the show, but it was super tiring (though exciting at the same time). I’ve covered shows as a writer, on-air talent, and a segment producer, but this was the first time I did the “one-man crew” thing. I was so beat after the show that I didn’t do a whole lot after. I really need a cameraman so that I can make the segments more entertaining…and so I can save some energy for drinking with friends. I’ve already enlisted one of you to possibly help me out with a shoot next year. There’s also an interesting event in Boston and I’m hoping one of you (that plays word games with me on Xbox Live and Android) would be interested in helping me film (*hint* *hint*).
– Three people from three different editorial outlets gave me props for the site. They’re all editors at major publications and it was super nice to hear them compliment my small operation. They were really impressed with the number of comments and quality discussion here. I would be all impressed with myself, but that’s really on you guys. Thanks for making the site a cool place to hang out!
– I’m going to attempt to put together one of my BlizzCon 2010 videos tonight. The raw footage is pretty good, but keep in mind that the gear is totally new to me as is the editing software. I’m sure the first few videos will be rough, but I’m confident that they’ll get to where I want them to be soon. Please be patient with me (especially when I become idiot Spike Jones with the camera).
