I’m usually not big on limited edition game sets (American ones, that is), but the God of War III Ultimate Edition looks so frickin’ cool that I might have to pre-order it. EB Games has it listed at $99.99, which isn’t too ridiculous. Sony product marketing manager Anthony Caiazzo detailed all the goodies on the PlayStation Blog:
Exclusive Collectibles
- High-End Sculpted Replica of Pandora’s Box
- Limited-Edition God of War Art Book featuring exclusive art, content and interviews
Exclusive Digital Content (Available via PlayStation Network voucher codes on day of launch)
- God of War Combat Arena containing an exclusive environment and seven challenges
- Premium Kratos Skin – Dominus
- God of War: Unearthing the Legend Franchise Documentary – a full-length movie documentary depicting the history of the God of War franchise
- God of War Trilogy Soundtrack – God of War, II, and III scores from the game (mp3 digital download).
- God of War: Blood and Metal EP – a heavy metal homage featuring original music inspired by God of War (mp3 digital download).
I’m probably going to get it just so that I can open Pandora’s box on a daily basis. I’ll find that hilarious for about a year.
this thing is just waiting to be bathed by my piss
Not good enough. MW2 comes with NV goggles.
the mw2 is alright. its just overpriced.
I never buy special editions, but I had to once they included the NV goggles and everything from the hardened edition. Plus I get to download an older CoD game. Gotta treat yourself sometimes.
I'll admit, I fell for the $130 Halo 3 Legendary edition. A few months after I bought it and beat the game, I said to myself: "Never again."
Now, the Modern Warfare 2 hardened edition comes out and I'm fighting world war 3 inside my head, only instead of the Allies and the Axis powers, it's the "do it" and "don't do it" factions.

@iceman
go Prestige edition
Ive never bought a limited edition of any game but im kinda tempted on this one.That box looks sweet!The dlc will be released on psn l8r so not interested in that too much but the box artbook soundtrack and original metal inspired by the game im up 4 that.
@ Smartguy;
Ok, YOU try to get the voices in my head to comprimise. I've had no such luck.

what is the price on this one? I'm attempted to buy it if its about 80 bucks or less :) Yes I am a cheap O :(
@Xsnipe2killg4feedX EB has it listed at $99.99. I've updated the article to reflect that.
@Smartguy I have a hard time giving Activision money for something like that.
@smartguy and rpad
Im with rpad. activision's not taking my money. im waiting for a used game for mw2. im not even that much of a multiplayer person. Dragon age will keep me bz for the whole month of novmber. so SUCK IT ACTIVISION! I HATE YOU!!! I HATE YOUUU!!!!! THE ONLY GOOD GAMES YOU HAVE ARE COD, STARCRAFT, DIABLO, AND WARCRAFT!!!!! EFF YOU!!!!
@Iceman
Rationale = Friggin NV goggles. Hell of a conversation piece and they are NV goggles. It's just money, you can earn more. I also am buying it on principle that it is the first time that something worthwhile has been given with a special edition of anything in my opinion.
@Ray
I don't like Activision either, but I was behind the curve on the last one and I want to be up on this one. I also think this is the last one that won't require a subscription to play.
@Smartguy Well, you like the company enough to but special edition versions of its games.
@Ray
It has nothing to do with Activision. I just want the damn goggles. I thought it was neat. In fact, it will be only the second Activision game I have bought this generation. Borrowed all the rest.
@Smartguy Ha! You really want those goggles. Pretty crazy.
