This Week’s Videogame Releases

There so many great games coming out this week, ranging from major releases to several game-of-the-year editions to a follow-up to an incredibly innovative DS title. Leading the way is Medal of Honor (which one of you was kind enough to order through my Amazon links — thanks!). Bundled editions include Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, and Uncharted 2: Game of the Year Edition. Just Dance 2 is going to be a wildly popular game for the Wii (it’s already #8 on Amazon’s videogame charts). DS fans have Super Scribblenauts and Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals to gobble up. As a La Parka mark, I’m really looking forward to Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes of the Ring.

*sigh* There are like four games I want to buy this week. How about you? What new games do you plan on picking up?

    1. how are you enjoying sacrifice so far? i haven't had a chance to get an MS points card but i can't wait to get this soon and hook up with you and Big Blak.

      1. I am enjoying it a lot. The level is pretty good all the way through, I just wish the DLC had more levels like the regular levels in each game, but it is a lot of fun. The final level is really fun too, and it was cool how they also give you the No Mercy campaign to play on L4D2 now with the melee weapons, L4D2 special infected, and scavenge modes (which is my favorite to play online).

      2. You should Tokz its off the chain, it was kind of surreal playing it the first time and it keeps getting better and better.

      3. Just L4D2…they are separate DLC's. I am not actually sure if there is any difference between the two, although I intend to buy the one for L4D as well to find out whenever I buy a new copy or get mine back from my fiance. And they are both $7, or 560MP.

      4. that seems retarded but i guess M$ knows how to make money. i'll just pick it up for L4D2 right now as well.

      5. I spent all morning watching trashy tv i.e Steve, Maury and Jerry. Bout to grab that Slimbox!

  1. Well the content was put out by Valve as two separate DLC's…I'm not sure if there is a difference, but I really hope that there is something added to the L4D DLC to make it different. I don't like to think that Valve would make one DLC for L4D2 and just port it to L4D so that they can say they are still supporting L4D like they said the originally would (which they really haven't done).

    1. I disagree they have supported it, it just seem not as frequent as part 2 because its been out so long, but L4D had about 4 or 5 DLC/modifications. Also L4D2 was designed to be more community friendly on XBL than L4D.

      1. have they grouped the L4D dlc into one big one. I logged onto to xbl site's and i only see 3 DLC packs for both L4Ds.?

      2. They made changes and updates, but that is only stuff that they should have been doing in the first place. I do like some of the things in L4D2, and yeah it is more XBL friendly, but I think there should have been more DLC for L4D still coming out (and not something that appears to be the same exact thing as what I have for L4D2) as well as the updates and patches. Having The Sacrifice available for L4D, to me, feels slapped on as an afterthought to make it seem like they are still supporting L4D.
