Welcome to Coffee Talk! Let’s start off the day by discussing whatever is on your (nerd chic) mind. Every morning I’ll kick off a discussion and I’m counting on you to participate in it. Whether you’re talking about videogames, the coffee grinder I want, the coffee grinder of my dreams, or this one time…at band camp, Coffee Talk is the place to do it.
Today’s Coffee Talk is super simple. I just want to know what you, your family, and your loved ones are wearing for Halloween. Part of it is because I think it’ll be cool to compare and contrast everyone’s costumes. Part of it is that I’m still undecided on what to wear and maybe I’ll steal one of your ideas. Ha!
I suppose it’s time for a Halloween confession too. I remember seeing someone in Greenwich Village dressed as golfer Payne Stewart for Halloween ’99. He was wearing knickers and a sweater vest, just like Stewart wore on the golf course. He was also zombified and had a propeller sticking out of his chest. The costume totally cracked me up — and still does to this very day — but I felt so guilty for laughing considering that he died on October 25, 1999.

I am going to be dressed up as a black guy playing xbox on Sunday.

I WAS working on making my own costume because I can't find it anywhere which seems odd, but I wanted to go as Patrick Star from Spongebob. (Yes I like the show). But now I have to bust ass working on my house and try to be moved in by tomorrow (won't happen).

I know I'm boring, but I usually don't dress up for halloween. I will probably be playing a game in all likelihood.
My brother and sister are going as people from the cast of NCIS (Abbi and Gibbs I think).
Hi! We wont be wearing anything too special, its gonna be our 7 year anniversary, well probably take the kids trick or treating and make it an early night as we leave to go back home monday morning.
Did y'all get married ON Halloween or is your anniversary just around the same time?
Congratulations! A Halloween wedding has so much potential for awesomeness. If it was me, I would have gone with the Beetlejuice outfit/theme.

Does anybody here have the balls to dress up like Steve Irwin with a stingray tail sticking out of his chest for Halloween like they did on that South Park episode "Super Sweet 16?"

I've actually seen that already. Halloween in NY and San Francisco knows no bounds.
Also, my stingray-like Pokemon is named Irwin.
That feels like a dare that I might have to try to figure out how to pull off. If I can find a cheap shirt and think of a way to make a stingray's tail before Sunday night I will go out somewhere dressed like that.

Well that's what I'm going as if I can't get together anything for the Steve Irwin costume. I will be mimicking them by being trapped in a dark area, also known as my room playing video games.

Jeff actually has to work this weekend, so I'm gonna be dressed up as the wife on the couch enjoying my ps3 time cause I haven't had time to finish Castlevania. Not since we got Netflix on the ps3 lol >_>
