What Are You Playing This Weekend?

After two weekends on the road, I’m psyched to stay home and play some games! Since it’s Halloween weekend, Double Fine’s Costume Quest seems like an appropriate choice. I’m enjoying this “RPG lite” so far. The graphics are charming and the writing is excellent. In fact, the writing is almost as good as WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, which is my other weekend game.

How about you? What’s on your weekend playlist?

  1. NBA 2k11.

I have to play the hell out of it before 12/07. Once Cata hits my consoles will be dead to me for quite some time.

  2. N8, send me an IM about what you needed. Sorry, but last night there were some ppl over and it was too loud.

  3. i will be playing ff13. once again i will be trying to start ch 13.

i'm really hoping to get some gaming in this weekend.

  4. I will be doing some work at my aunts house up north a little ways, and also visiting my favorite local video game shop. I'm playing through pokemon leafgreen to try and pick out some pokemon to migrate to Diamond sometime soon, and that's probably all I will really play this weekend since I don't think I will be taking my 360 with me.

And the DSi that I ordered off of eBay is a no go…the person refunded my money and re-listed the item, so I'm not too happy about that. The search continues though! maybe I will find something this weekend.

      1. Yeah I will probably be doing that, I just don't know what good it will do. I will probably try amazon again though, but I didn't think that you got anything if I got something used through them.

It was a great deal too! black DSi and the game Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for less than $90!

      2. i didn't eBay would let you file a complaint. since he returned your money. that was a great deal too and someone probably talked some sense into that seller.

      3. I know I was really looking forward to that!! but yeah paypal wouldn't let eBay let me file a complaint. And I wanted to play that game too.

      4. You can file a complaint multiple ways with eBay. It's not always obvious where to look.

I'd also give the seller a negative review and explain why.

It totally goes against the spirit of eBay and you're right to complain.

      5. Yeah I agree it isn't what the site is all about. But I am still going to look into filing a complaint somewhere.

  5. Halo Reach and Bayonetta (I started it last night).

Dang, those Japanese people sure do know how to make an insanely crazy game with an insanely hot digital woman.

It may seem weird,, but Bayonetta has to be my description of a perfect woman: tall, curvy, glasses, overtly sexual, long-ass raven-black hair that has a mind of its own and can kill you, loves guns and knows how to use them, flexible, can kick ass, doesn't mind being naked, skilled in witchcraft, and has a sexy British accent. What more can you want in a woman?

It's like they read my mind when they were creating the protagonist for this game!

  6. I got SVR 2011 earlier this week. I messed with it a little bit, and I'm pretty impressed with it so far. The writing is top notch.

But… I really want to immerse myself in New Vegas this weekend.

    1. I'm most impressed with the improvement in the graphical department. Seems like a lot less clipping. One thin that always drove me nuts about these games was when you'd see a superstar's hair magically pass through their body, or other glitches like that.

I also like how the Universe mode has replaced/improved upon career mode.

As far as the world class writing, so far I've really only played around with Jericho's story (which I liked). I may do the Christian story next.

      1. I did the CAW and marveled in the fine voice over work by my childhood idol.

I'll get to the real wrestlers soon, I swear.

  7. Probably some Castlevania, some Super Scribblenauts, and a litttle LBP online after watching the Sackbots clip lol.

  8. Well, I've had kind of a crappy day so far (heaadache, college football, my fave local radio station dropped the B&T show and is changing formats), but I vow to somehow get some quality playing in this weekend. It'll be some more Undead Nightmare and Fallout 3. Why Fallout 3, you ask, instead of my copy of New Vegas? 'Cause I never finished it the first time. My save game from the first time I played died with my 60gb ps3, so I'm going to play through it at least once so that I can fully savor the improvements put into New Vegas.

Also, Happy Halloween everybody! Enjoy it for me!

    1. Hope your day starts to go a little better! I can only hope that OSU and ND lose, but I doubt that will happen.

      1. that's always a good thing when they lose. I didn't like the turnout of the Purdue game though…that was just…disappointing.
