Named after the worst game I ever played in my life, this piece of crap from Titus was so wretched that it gave me nightmares for years. If you guys and gals want to vote over the worst game released from 2000 to 2009, I can’t think of a better title than Superman 64 to “inspire” you.

A few of you started sending in nominations yesterday. Let’s keep things neat and consolidate them here. If there are any games you want to nominate for the Superman 64 Award for Worst Game of the Decade, please leave ’em in the comments sections.

  1. I second the Darksiders nom. I'd like to nominate Saw, just because i'm tired of the movies and a game wasn't necessary. Also, Ju On: The Grudge game for the Wii.

  2. @ topic – Castlevania 64 for my nominee lol. And one of the Batman games for the 'Cube, I just can't remember whic off the top of my head.

  3. not to be redundant

be its gotta be big rig racing….lowest metascore ever

    heres why:

this is your clear cut winner….watch it at least until 1:05

  4. @shockwave and cami

the game bugged out and won't let me equip the mask of shadows. I found most of the pieces and it crapped out on the last two. Inexcusable.

  5. @Shockwave – it bugged out on him 75% of the way through the game and ccorrupted his saves.

  6. Wow, that's insane! I had no issues turning the mask on or off. My only real problem with Darksiders is that when I would hold the PS button to quit game, it would 80% of the time totally reset my ps3. o_O

  7. rrod and i have similar gaming philosphies, weve discussed this

we refuse to buy bad games…

i havent bought a bad game since "street racing syndicate"…like 6 years ago

    does anyone have mag? opinions?

  8. @Nightshade – not a fan of Prototype at all. Didnt bother with Wet, not a fan of Douche-ku and it looked like crap to begin with.

  9. I keep hoping that Blockbuster will get ahold of MAG so i can rent it. Reviews that i've seen aren't that good but the Youtube vids on the gameplay, have me wanting to get it. I'm this close > <to impulse buy.

  10. @tokz

same here…just got my tax money and im looking to blow some money

i still havent bought anything off amazon lately, so ill make it up to ray and get mag on amazon if i do get it

  11. MAG beta left a lot to be desired though. I think BC2 will come out on top though.

I can't see other players in MAG!

  12. Why do people play bad games? We've all been gaming long enough to know if a game is worth our time just by looking at gameplay and reading a few reviews. I knew Prototype would be crap as soon as I saw footage and not to mention the fact that the devs of Prototype do not have one single great game in their catalog. I can't believe that Prototype got so much hype and some even had the nerve to put it up against Sucker Punch's Infamous. Developer history is the best way to tell if a game will be worth your time.

  13. @shockwave

Yeah the lady at blockbuster was telling some bull*&^% story. She was like oh well they won't send us any games if they don't see pre-orders for the games. Then she was trying to get me to pre-order Bioshock 2 and GOW3, which is $5 down so the rentals could get there and she would then credit me the $5 deposit to go towards my rental. I was like well i've already got those pre-ordered. I come here to test games i want to try out before i buy, thanks anyways.

  14. terminator salvation, nuff said

@rrod prototype was fun but you have something wrong with you if you compare it to infamous

  15. At the sake of being redundant, I will re-post my nominees in this thread since it is more appropriate:

    – Big Rigs Over the Road Racing. Just try it and hate me forever.

    – Sonic: (Insert anything here). My thoughts on Sonic:

    – Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. So bad, even Eidos had to apologize to gamers.

    – Jumper: Griffin’s Story. Worst movie-tie in game is no easy feat to accomplish.

    – Bomberman Act Zero

    – Kabuki Warriors

    @ RROD;

It may be true (or not, since I really don't know) if the devs of Prototype do not have one single great game in their catalogue, but hey, Prototype could have been their first. If a developer can learn from their mistakes, then their next game should always be better than the previous one, right?

  16. Well I was going to say the Worst game ever would have to be the E.T. game. But between 2000 and 2009, MK: Shaolin monks, Def Jam Icon, Conflict Vietnam, and Ninja Breadman for the Wii.

Ninja breadman took me a total of ten minutes to complete. And the others I played for about 10 minutes before never putting them in my systems again.

  17. @tokz

I didn't get MAG at my blockbuster either. We only get certain games, even if people do pre-order them. Getting pre-orders just lets us get more rental copies and retail copies of big titles. Like the store I used to work at wasn't in an area that was big on gaming, so we never got many games and if we did we got like 2 copies. But the store I work at now gets a ton of games, which I am cool with because more titles for me to rent for free. Helps me save up for the impulse buys.

  18. @Iceman

You would think so but more often than not they never make better games. I think Remedy actually has a chance with Alan Wake. Remedy's best game is the Max Payne series which is average at best but Alan Wake looks like it has potential, but we'll see.

  19. @Iceman

As for the devs of Prototype, their best game was Hulk Ultimate Destruction which was also average at best like Prototype. Prototype actually looks like Hulk Ultimate Destruction with a different character.

  20. @arguello

thank you for the tip. I kinda figured it was all blockbusters. I went to like 4 that day and none of them had it. So i figured that either the shipments are late or they're never going to get it.

  21. Dear god that game is pure gold colored shit. To be honest, if I ever see it cheap, I'm buying it just to have it.

  22. The infinite speed in reverse is just great. I've played games in excel with higher quality.

  23. @ Smartguy

It's between .99 cents and 6 bucks on ebay and you can get it for as low as .89 cents on amazon… that's pretty bad.

I'm waiting to see a -$5.00 price point (we'll pay you $5 bucks to get it away from us).

  24. @Smartguy – Same as shockwave, i’ve heard nothing but good. And I even enjoyed it, looking past the few irritating glitches it had.

  25. Unrelated, but it is very nice to do a whole series recap before they show the first episode of the final chapter.

  26. @smartguy

it is nice of lost producers or abc to provide this series recap. They've been doing since the writer's strike season I believe. Even though I just finish re-watching lost from season 1-5 I still can't get enough. Don't let me down lost!!!!

  27. NO MORE TALK ABOUT LOST UNTIL 11:00PM PST/2:00AM EST.

Heads will roll otherwise… we will discuss it at length tomorrow, I swear.
