  1. I would have to go with Fable 3 no question about it only because I beat the game. FFXIII would be a close second only because I have not beat it yet.

  2. Game of the Year: close between Cataclysm and Starcraft 2. SC2 had a great story but I suck at the multiplayer. Cataclysm is just amazing.

    Christmas dish: Oyster dressing and Mirleton dressing. So good.

    1. Here's a tip for winning a multiplayer match in Starcraft 2: Don't play against South Koreans.

      1. I just don't enjoy the pace I think. It's too precise lol.

        But the tip you gave is a very good one.

  3. i'd have to say that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is my GOTY with FF13 which i haven't finished yet either is a close 2nd.

    @Brewers trading for Greinke

    I was surprised to see that he went to the brewers. it really doesn't mean anything, you cant win the World Series with one ace and this is their only ace. this is the Cubs division to lose again.

    @Edge

    It's good to see that Jayson Werth is having a great offseason. In all seriousness i hope Edge can stay healthy enough to have a good run. I'm surprised to see that two heels have the main championship belts. has that ever happened before??

    @fav x-mas dish

    hmm it's not really a dish but i like tamales! mmmmmm yummy tamales. i can sure go for some right now.

    1. Oh man, there's an excellent tamale stand at my building's Friday farmers market. The best part is that they do Wednesday markets before the holidays, so it'll be tamale Wednesday for me!

      1. Which type of tamales do you get? i like the pork red chili sauce ones and the ones with refried beans and melty chihuahua cheese. (chihuahua cheese is like mozzarella only taste diff and melts better IMO)

  4. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – By far the most hours spent this year on any game

    Then God of War 3

      1. Wait what Vietnam Expansion? I actually haven't it played it in some time now. I remember there was a 1 or 2Gb update but never played it after that.

      2. @Sandrock

        Thats cool. I used to play Battlefield Vietnam all the time. I love spiked log rolling down the hills. I hope they put those back in.

      1. It stands out the most in my mind. Only downside I ever had for it was the difficulty and that when I tried playing through a second time, it removed all of my ME1 choices. That and Thane dies as the infiltrator at the end :/

  5. Well, I think I set a record this year. I usually don’t play games of the current year. I like to wait a few months or years so the price comes down and I get to play them for cheap. This year, however, I played a whopping five games released in 2010 (six, if you count X-Men, which I won’t for obvious reasons). Out of those five, I think I enjoyed Halo: Reach the most followed by Bioshock 2, Bayonetta, Alan Wake, and DR2: Case Zero.

    My favorite games that I’ve played this year, however, are Ballad of Gay Tony, Modern Warfare 2 (no, I didn’t touch the multiplayer at all), Gears of War 2 and Shadow Complex.

      1. i remember distinctly having to use the dolphins logo for a week….it might actually be more embarrassing for you to sport a dolphins logo at this point

      2. I can't argue with that. I guess I should be grateful that I'm sporting the Bills logo and not the Dolphins.

        There is a reason I stopped using it, you know.

        -M

  6. In all honesty games from this year were pretty bland for me. I think my favorite would have to be Halo: Reach. Next I really liked Toy Story 3. I know it was definitely more of a kids game, but (still haven't seen this movie yet either) it was done so well and it was a lot of fun to just relax and play. Alan Wake was a pretty good game, but there wasn't much replay value.

    My favorite game I have played this year is easily Left 4 Dead followed by Left 4 Dead 2. Even though they came out before this year I have enjoyed them much more than any other games from this year.

    Next year will be a difficult year for me to make this decision, but I am expecting Pokemon Black/White will probably take the prize for next year in all honesty. This year is just sort of blah though.

    1. booooooooooooo! i'm about to go to Indiana and punch in the face for not watching Iron Man 2 and Toy Story 3 yet.

      1. and punch you in the face, i meant. see! this is how upset i am that you are missing out on good movies!

      2. I share your sentiments, Tokz, but I seriously doubt we'll be able to catch him and have him hold still long enough to even cock your arm back.

        -M

      3. @iceman

        maybe we can set a trap for him but don't order anything from the Acme company. their products never work they way they advertise them.

      4. One day I will watch them all, it's mostly just difficult to actually be with my fiance and both of us be in the mood for the same kind of movie.

        Oh and good luck with the traps that you and Iceman are planning on trying to set up. lol. Just don't forget to use the Amazon links!

      5. @Tokz

        Haha. I was more mad I had to get a plain black one for my fiance's holiday party at work. I prefer a little flair in mine, but I'm still not the biggest fan of ties.

  7. black ops, nba 2k11, RDR, heavy rain, or GOW3

    i cant choose

    actually i bought demons souls this year, so it might be demons souls, i loved that god damned asshole of a game

      1. i can choose anyone i want, and i choose ben richards (running man ftw)

        for serious, ill choose RDR, that game kept me the most entertained over the past year

  8. I've been thinking about this all day.

    So far, RDR is at the top of the list. I'm sure I'll get many more miles from Fallout New Vegas and NHL 11.

    However, SVR 11 truly is hella fun.

    1. would you say you were disappointed with new vegas? you are the only person i know (not biblically) who owns that game

      1. No, not disappointed.

        I'm more disappointed that I simply don't have the time I'd like to invest in it right now.

  9. I can't believe I forgot about Split/Second. I love that damn game!

    I really liked that video, great mix of favorites.

    1. no yeah i used to watch hung, it follows entourage…although after having watched it, its sorta hard to see thomas jane as the punisher….
