This Week’s Console Game Releases

Last week was pretty much a dud, but this week’s videogame releases are here to save the day! On the multi-platform front you have Green Day: Rock Band and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11. The Nintendo DS has Mega Man Zero Collection for those of you looking for some old-school platformer excitement. Last, but certainly not least, is Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for Sony PlayStation Portable.

What new games are on your wishlist this week?

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is out, exclusively for Wii. Are you one of those people that said Shigeru Miyamoto is “out of touch” and that the gaming business has passed him by? If so, explain why this game is so great. In other exclusive news, ModNation Racers is hitting both Sony platforms. Lastly, UFC Undisputed 2010 and Blur are hitting multiple platforms.

Any of you guys and dolls picking up any of this week’s new games?

This Week’s Videogame Releases

After several weeks of boring releases, mid-May delivers with authority! The Xbox 360 exclusive Alan Wake is out this week and numerous critics have compared it to Sony’s Heavy Rain, but with broader appeal. On the multiplatform kick there’s Red Dead Redemption, Split / Second, and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Last but not least is Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow for Nintendo DS.

With all the great games available this week, I want to know if you’re planning on picking anything up. Please let me know!

This Week’s Videogame Releases

There’s a trio of interesting games coming out this week. Leading the way is Capcom’s Lost Planet 2, which is perfect for those of you that like shooting giant alien things. If revisiting insane criminals is more to your liking then check out Batman Arkham Asylum: Game of the Year Edition. In addition to repackaging one of the best superhero games of all time, this version of Arkham Asylum has special 3D features. Last, but not least is Skate 3, which seems like the perfect way to prepare for shredding up concrete this summer.

As always, let me know if you’re picking up any new games this week!

Iron Man is set to take on the movie world with his repulsor rays and unibeam, but he’s also saving a few blasts for the realm of videogames. Iron Man 2 comes out this week…for pretty much every platform known to man. PSP owners should keep an eye on Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake; if it’s anything like its PS3 counterpart, it will be a delightfully fun action game that oozes charm. Aside from those two titles, there’s not a lot going on this week.

This Week’s Videogame Releases

There are a bunch of interesting games launching this week. Hitting the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are Super Street Fighter IV, Dead to Rights: Retribution, and Nier. The PlayStation portable has PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe and Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley.

I’m super psyched for the new Street Fighter. This edition lets you host your own tournaments. It sounds perfect for an RPad.tv Invitational, no?

This Week’s Videogame Releases

It looks like the only interesting game being released this week is Capcom’s Monster Hunter Tri. The series is ridiculously popular in Japan, particularly on the PSP, and enjoys a nice following in other regions. I know most of you aren’t high on the Wii, but if you pick up this game, do let me know. For that matter, is there anything you plan on buying this week?

This Week’s Videogame Releases

There’s not a whole lot going on this week in terms of game releases. The only interesting title I see is Splinter Cell: Conviction for Xbox 360. Perhaps I’m missing something, but that appears to be it. Anyway, I’ve played there first few chapters of Conviction and really enjoyed myself…but not in the customary Splinter Cell way. There’s way more of a focus on action and the stealth portions of the game are much more forgiving than in previous installments. You have much more freedom and the game has a broad appeal because of it, but traditionalists might not dig it.

Are any of you picking up Splinter Cell: Conviction? Or are you picking up an older game or a title I forgot about?

This Week’s Videogame Releases

There’s nothing interesting coming out for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, or Nintendo DS this week. Thankfully, the PlayStation Portable has a pair of releases to end Q1 2010. Japanese RPG fans will want to keep an eye on Mimana: Iyar Chronicle, while horny males will want to check out Dead or Alive Paradise. Normally, I would skip posting about game releases on a dead week like this one, but any chance to post photos of scantily clad videogame women is tough to pass up.

This Week’s Videogame Releases

There are so many great games coming out this week! PlayStation 3 owners have God of War III to devour. Nintendo DS fans have Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver to suck up hours of their lives. Although Final Fantasy XIII has been the only game I’ve played since I came back from GDC 2010, I’m going to drop it like a bad habit when Dragon Age: Origins Awakening comes out.

But wait, there’s more! If you can’t get enough RPG excitement then you ought to check out Resonance of Fate from the fine people at Tri-Ace. Wii owners have Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon to keep them up at night. I’ve been saying this since last year, but my March is totally screwed. I have no idea how I’m going to be able to write for the site, work on Secret Project 2010 #1, play games, and sleep this month. Sheesh!

Let me know what games you’re planning to pick up this week. If you’re picking up a few, let me know what order you plan on playing them.
