This Week’s Videogame Releases

There are oodles of interesting games out this week — a perfect way to add some sizzle to your summer. On the multiplatform front, you haveĀ LEGO Harry Potter and Singularity. There are also several interesting exclusives out for all three major platforms: PlayStation 3 has Trinity Universe, Xbox 360 has Ninety-Nine Nights II, and Wii has Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Treasure rules!!!).

As much as I can’t wait to play Sin & Punishment, my recommendation for the week is Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip for PlayStation Portable. It’s super fun in that Mario Tennis (the handheld versions) way. A (not a) review of this fine game is on the way.

Are any of you picking up new games this week? Let me know what’s on your wishlist (please)!

  1. i'm not planning to get any of these but Fat Princess is on my list now that i can choose to be a Ninja!

  2. Not getting anything on this list, my dog just got a broken leg so I have to get that fixed asap and that is a bit of a cash drain.

However I have 800 MS points and I might use them on a couple of games or just wait and see what else I might pick up later. Doom has been calling my name for a while though.

that sucks about your dog. It seems like if it's not one thing it's another with you. financially that is. I hope your dog gets better soon.

  4. @Tokz

Thanks, same here. One day maybe I will be able to not be so financially stretched, as is college life for me I guess. I am hoping that its not too bad of a break or anything, which will mean it is a little cheaper. It's not as bad as it could be though I know that much, so that is definitely good.

Yo my bad this weekend, my gfs father got diagnosed with prostate cancer so I really couldn't stray from her side much. It will happen soon though, sorry bout your dog man.

  6. @Big Blak

Hey its cool, that is definitely more important. Whenever we get around to it is fine with me. Hope everything turns out well with your gf and her father. My dog should be ok soon enough, thanks.

  7. I'll be renting Ninety-Nine Nights 2, I loved the first one.

    Fat Roles for MP

May rent Singularity, but I don't know much about it.

This morning, my son asked me "Dad, is Texas still like the old west?" and my response was "If you're only looking at the hats, the guns, and the lack of indoor plumbing… yes!"… and then I told him it wasn't like that.

    @ BSU

    Sorry about your dog.

    @ Big Blak

Sorry about you girlfriend's dad's prostate.

  9. @ BSU

Dude your FB profile pic is awesome!!! You guys look like a fun couple.

    @ N8R

Dude you have a talent at making shit that aint supposed to be funny funny lol.

  10. @N8R

Nah its funny when people think that. I have a friend in the Netherlands and she thought everyone owned cattle & horses and that we all wear cowboy hats. But you'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier place unless you F with us, because seriously who else has a motto that threatens you DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS. Also we don't all carry guns with us….some of us leave them hanging in the rear window of our pickups. lol

  11. @N8R again

BTW it is considered indoor plumbing when you finally put a door up on your outhouse.

  12. @ Slicky

I know, I was just messing with the kid. I told him all that. But, there are some parts of Texas that are still pretty rustic… but not old west rustic.

    @ Big Blak

I wasn't trying to be rude, I swear.

  13. @N8R

Most Texans feel like we are way past rustic, we all feel that the people you are referring to are from Oklahoma. (yes when I say "we all" I was voted in to speak for everyone. lol).

My favorite comedians are one that come to Texas and then start commenting on things like that.

  14. @ Slicky

Meanwhile, my family has 100 acres back in PA where the closest neighbors are Amish.

Those are some pretty rustic people. They still churn their own butter and ride horse drawn carriages.

  15. @Slicky @N8

Thanks, he is getting his leg fixed today/tomorrow, then it's just waiting for it to heal after that.

    @BB

thank you, I like to think we are fun to be around, lol.
