it is. Rpad is having connection issues. the video feed from g4 is even lagging too.
Out of all the titles shown, Dead Space 2 was the most enticing. I'm also disappointed that Jaffe rehashed an old title instead of doing a new IP…I could be bias since I have never been a Twisted Metal fan.
I thought Move was neat…but in the end it looks like all the other motion controls in that it wouldn't be fun to play for very long.
They managed to pull a good show. Glad they didn't spend a hour and 45 minutes talking about Move like someone else did.

It didn't wow me as much as Nintendo's even with Zelda failing a bit in the demo with Miyamoto. Dead Space 2 looks neat especially bundled w/D.S. Extraction. The Move demo looked kool but it didn't impress me. The PSN plus piqued my interest, did they mention when this goes live and when we get the first free month. Pricing was right around MS' live service but thank god i don't need to get PSN plus to play mp online.

Butler was a nice touch. Sony's games for the most part just didn't do it for me. They also were pretty guilty of not showing much gameplay. I also got tired of hearing how I need to go and buy a 3k tv plus $600 worth of glasses and a new peripheral to get the best experience.

interesting question you brought up, especially when Obama just told BP to setup an escrow account for clean up and claims. I bet they are going to declare bankruptcy to get away with not paying for it and probably ask for a bailout.

Did I mention that my company is the largest independent BP distributor in the state of Florida? Trust me when I say that BP is doing everything they can to not only stop this geyser, but also compensate the people and environment that are directly impacted. Yes, they were negligent and yes, government regulation/oversight is a farce since the people who are supposed to enforce the regulation/oversight are usually always in bed with those whom they are supposed to watch. Just look at the SEC and Wall Street. Same thing here.
Anyway, the optimist in me hopes that they can stop the gusher, clean up the mess, pay for the damages and recover just like Exxon did. Yes, I know it's a very different situation, but if Exxon can bounce back from the Valdez oil spill to become the #1 oil company in the U.S., then I have hope for BP as well. The pessimist in me, however, thinks its more likely that the declare bankruptcy and get bought out by an even bigger and badder oil company and shed their liability… most likely a foreign national oil company. The president probably fears this as well, which is why he is asking for an escrow account (that will hopefully bypass the bankruptcy procedures).
By the way, the politicians and BP have to play the role of good guy/bad guy now in public, but just take a look at how much BP has contributed in political campaign funds to key politicians and you'll find out that all of that tough talk is just a bunch of hot air.

Oh i know BP is doing everything to stop it now but why didn't they do what the engineer recommended them to do 2 months ago. Did you see that article? I read it yesterday. I'll see if i can find it. I know about BP being labeled as the bad guys here. The only reason Obama has stepped in is because BP has failed to stop and contain the spill and the American public wanted him to say something to them.

@smartguy Yes, you caused quite the stir over there. Ha! To be fair, it can be a lot of work and it's not always as you described in that post. What you described is what the show is like for me. In my case, it's frickin' awesome. Aside from really sore feet (E3 is big and the important stuff is in two separate halls), it's a blast. I get to see games, see great developers, go to fun parties, etc. For other people, it's different. Some have to process a crazy amount of videos and screenshots all day for several days. Some have to crank out news announcements that are coming in at a crazy pace.
I know you were trolling, but I felt bad for Alice at Shack News. She's working crazy hard and now thinks RPadholics are a little nuts. Ha!

No, the servers were inundated by the time I was able to get around to trying. I'm on vacation next week, so the earliest I could get it would be the 25th. Maybe I can just go into BestBuy and get a 32 gig one. Hopefully enough ppl shy away from it over the $100 difference. A few people I work with bought a 3G in February because it was cheaper than the 3GS. I'm counting on that rationale to have some unclaimed 32gig models.

We keep our drama relatively small over here and when there is drama, it usually revolves around football or Apple products.
Rest assured that we are all pretty good friends and I would invite all these people into my home on any given day (I really mean that). The Smartguy you read today on Shack is not the character he truly is.

Bad ID doesn't necessarily mean nuked. I don't know about the thread in question, but that could also mean it was given an assigned topic and is currently being filtered. If you don't have those filters turned on (Look in your Settings page where the comments section is to see if they are checked on or not), trying to go to that page will give you a "bad ID" response.
Then again it might have been nuked for some reason, though usually if a thread is nuked you'll receive a message in your inbox (shack messages, not email) from Duke Nuked.
Okay I just looked up the smartguy thread, I think that was nuked :)

Honestly I have no clue what 'nuked' is. I just saw mention of it over at Shacknews and I assumed the regulars there knew more about it than I did so I just went with it. But thank you for the info and I'll check it out.
Nuked is what happens if you violate one of the guidelines or nukable offenses. Things like posting about warez or anything regarding poop (seriously, it's best not to bring it up. one guy got a nuke for talking about how his girlfriend clogged their toilet and the madness that ensued with trying to get it fixed). It's in general not a big deal unless you're just blatantly being rude, offensive, or trying to piss someone off. Most nukes come with a 30 minute ban if it's a minor offense, though plenty of times you'll get a nuke w/o a ban due to a repost or maybe you posted something that someone else posted earlier and there was a huge thread about it. Always best, when posting about recent news or some internet phenomenon, to do a search first. If you really screw up (purposefully spoil a new movie, post offensive and digusting stuff like goat sex or lemon party) you might get a longer ban…day…week…month…year…for serious offenses, you can get perma-banned.

So I was reading attentively, until I came across the phrase 'lemon party' and had no idea what it was, so I made the mistake of googling it (knowing it probably wasn't going to be good) Yeah I could see banning for that. I don't think there has even been an offense comment that over here that would require any 'nuking'.

A little bit of back story/history of Rpad.tv:
We all met on g4tv.com. A few years ago, Ray worked there and was arguably the best writer they had. He also took the time to acknowledge the community as people rather than "names on a screen". We liked Brian Leahy alot as well, but Ray truly did stand out to us.
We were all pretty popular in the community over there and if you've ever been there, the drama is fairly fierce. We all participated and enjoyed it to a degree. All my favorite people I made custom animated avatars for. This went on for years.
One day (almost a year ago), Ray was unceremoniously relieved of his position over there via an email he received on an airplane on his way back from Asia. Why exactly he was let go, we don't know because Ray never omitted that gem of info and we respect his privacy (but I like to imagine it has to do with Adam Sessler, many drinks, and cocaine on the asses of strippers).
This outraged us. We wrote letters to the president of G4, letters to Sess, you name it. We were mad. One of us (not to be named) got in touch with Ray via email/Facebook and suggested he start his own site. He was humble and didn't know if he had the gumption to do it. A day or 2 later, he got back in touch with this anonymous reader and said he was in the process of securing his server space and launching his own site.
Once this site was launched, this same reader posted a link to it on one thread on G4.tv and most of us have never looked back. For when we did look back, we saw a bunch of whining 12 year olds.
That's when we all unanimously agreed to leave all the drama we knew at G4 there and continue here in a respectful fashion. Hell, the most legendary troll G4 ever had is now here and is one of the coolest guys you will ever talk to. Sure, we all have our opinions, but we respect those whether we agree or not.
All that said… I think Smartguy was just dusting off his troublemaking hat for the hell of it. It gets boring sitting around an office, you know?
