Ireland Basinger Baldwin as Wonder Woman?

Casting Wonder Woman has always been tricky. You need a lady that brings beauty and physicality to the table. The easiest solution would be to go back in time and capture a young Lucy Lawless to play Diana Amazon princess. In a recent RPad.TV Google+ chat, RPadholic tokz suggested that Ireland Basinger Baldwin should dye her hair black and play Wonder Woman. At 6’2″, she definitely has presence and a physical trainer could help her get in Amazonian shape (I think she’s pretty perfect IRL, but Wonder Woman should be chiseled). Most people agree that she’s a beautiful girl. If she inherited any acting skills from her parents (Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger), then she’d be great for the role, don’t you agree?

  1. The picture where she’s posing with a green bikini is what really made me think she could play WW. Lucy Lawless, er a Young Lucy Lawless would be ok but she’s supposed to be an Amazon. I can’t have my Amazons be shorter than me.

    My vote is still and always shall be with Linda Carter. I don’t give a crap. She. Is. Wonder. Woman. Period. She cannot be replaced by just any random hot T&A.

    1. While she’s still a striking woman, I don’t think she’d fill out the costume these days. Besides, she’s married to that Bethesday guy and doesn’t need the work.

      1. You know, upon further thought, I wouldn’t have a problem with Lucy Lawless to take the role. Again, they can’t just take any “striking” woman… they need someone with balls to play the role.

  4. She looks a lot more like Wonder Woman than anyone else they have shown in promo shots for the shows they have tried making. Get the right outfit and I could easily see this turning out well. Give her the wrong outfit though and it would still be hard for her to pull off Wonder Woman.
