How To Make a Fandango Ringtone With iTunes

For smarks, the hottest thing in the WWE is Fandango’s theme song, “ChaChaLaLa.” There are several reasons why the song is over; it’s an intricate, interesting, and ironic issue (the three Is, get it?!?). I’m not going to get into it right now, but what I will get into is how to make your very own Fandango ringtone. The current version of iTunes makes it super-easy to create your very own “ChaChaLaLa” ringtone for your iPhone. Here’s the rundown.

1) Pick up “ChaChaLaLa.”

2) Once the song is in your iTunes library, right click on song, go to “Get Info,” and click on the Options tab. You’ll see the option to select the start and stop time of the track. I used the first 20 seconds of the song as my ringtone, but you can choose the section of the song you like best.

3) Once you’ve set your start and stop time, right click on the song again and select “Create AAC Version.” This will create a small M4A file using the start and stop time you selected.

4) Right click on the new file and select “Show in Finder.” Change the extension from “M4A” to “M4R.” Go to the ringtones section of iTunes, drag the renamed file into your ringtones library, sync your iPhone, and you’re set!

If you have any questions about the process, please drop me a line in the comments section.
