What Are You Playing This Weekend?

After getting back from a harrowing trip that had me flying from Boston to Washington D.C. to Denver to Los Angeles, I’m back on the road this weekend. This time it’s Chicago and Boston. I want to be playing Infinity Blade II on my iPad 2. I’m sure I’ll start. I’m also sure that I won’t play it nearly as much as I’d like because I’m frickin’ tired. So this weekend’s gameplay will be a mix of Infinity Blade II and sleeping on (5) airplanes.

How about you? What’s on your weekend playlist?

  1. Well, I'm willing to say that DC is close enough to Richmond, so all you need to this weekend Ray is land in Pittsburgh, NOLA, Miami, Atlanta, and Memphis and you have officially toured almost all of our hometowns in a week.

We'll just call it the RPad.tv Allegiance Appreciation Tour.

      1. I'm usually pretty keen on picking up obscure references and maybe it's just because I'm sick right now… but you've officially gone completely over my head.

I have no idea what you're referring to.

      2. RPad.tv Alliance Appriciation Tour = R.A.A.T.

        R.A.A.T. is pronounced "rat"

Therefore, doing a "rat" sounds like you want him to fornicate with a rat, when in actuality you want him to do the tour.

The sick reference works on two levels because it is sick that you would want someone to have sex with a rat and you are physically sick.

This is not deep, it's just a play on sounds to be taken at face value. I’m simple like that.

    1. Its a shame, because i was having a party this weekend…I'm gonna invite all my friends and have soda and pie….I hope no bad people show up…

(if you are under 30 years old, you wont get this brilliant beastie boys reference)

    1. Regardless, since Iceman made some obscure joke about me that I didn't get, you should swing by Miami this Sunday and watch the Dolphins lose to the piss poor Raiders in a skybox in possibly the most ghetto stadium in the league.

And yes, I am considering the fact that thousands of people once lived at the Superdome.

      1. Actually, yes, if Mr. Padilla were to visit here, I could make arrangements to see the Dolphins play the Raiders this Sunday. However, I don't thin they are "piss poor" seeing as how they are one win away from tying Pittsburgh’s record.

Are you sure you're just not worried about them taking the Steelers’ spot in the wild card? Shouldn't you be cheering on the Dolphins to win?

      2. Wow… you're gonna make me break it down, huh? All of this is barring any injuries or ejections or anything else crazy.

Okay, first, I expect the Raiders are most likely going to win their division (which is in whole, piss poor). Therefore, wild card will be off the table for them. I also don't expect them to last long in the playoffs. If not us, Baltimore will surely repaint the turf with Raider blood.

Second, even if they don't, I expect us and the Ravens to win on out since our schedules look like cake walks from here on out whereas Oakland has Green Bay next week. So even if Denver works some miracles (which is doubtful), I can still likely crutch on Green Bay beating Oakland.

Third, do you seriously think a 3 and 8 Miami stands a chance? realistically?

      3. Whoa, whoa, whoa… I never said anything about Miami doing anything aside from playing spoiler (in one of my previous posts). I'm just watching the Dolphins now to see who's chances they ruin the playoffs for. We can't get Andrew Luck and we can't get into the playoffs so might as well get your kicks from preventing some unlucky team from the post season, right?

Also, Baltimore is only good at home. They suck when they play away games. I think that's going to be a factor.

Lastly, because of Tebow, Denver is synonymous with "miracles". I wouldn't rule them out of anything with Jesus clearly favoring them, much to the chagrin of most rappers that win a televised award.

      4. I can relate to the Tebow situation because I lived through Kordell Stewart. It was a pretty similar situation. The guy was insane in college, got to the pros, and either pulled a miracle out of his ass or failed miserably. He took alot if flak too, but the team still rallied behind him. That said, I don't think Tebow will ever stand a chance in the post-season. Getting there, maybe. As for the Dirty Birdies, they won all their division games so far and 2 of those wins we're against us. For the life of me, I cannot put stock in the Bungles or the Brownies for any reason. That would leave me with rooting for the winless Colts, or the Chargers in SD… Which is still a maybe. It's not in our favor from my point of view, but that doesn't mean I don't think we can, we're just leaving alot up to faith.

      5. I think Dalton is going to make Cinc a thorn for quite some time. Pitt's defense seems to show up every now and then compared to 2 seasons ago. How many more concussions can Polamalu endure? Ben will become the strength though. He's damn good. Top 5.

      6. See, I told you. Teams vying for a playoff spot do not want to face the Dolphins and Jesus apparently answers' Tebow's prayers.

Like you, I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos made the playoffs, but I really don't know how well they would do once they are there. The way I see it, the situation could either fire them up making the team play with deep emotions that can turn the tide of any game… or they fail miserably because whoever it is that they are playing will exploit their many weaknesses.

I have to give credit to the Bronco's defense and Tebow's sheer will to win despite having very limited weapons and an overall shitty offense. And believe me, if there's one thing I know about is a shitty offense. I've been witnessing it for years.

  2. work, watching Burn Notice while playing Pokemon Black, and some scattered MW3 here and there. I'm also going to a friends party tomorrow night. That will be a much better party to attend then the bar I was at last night and i'm actually looking forward to it, even though it means I won't get to play Pokemon.

  3. No games. Boiling shrimp and crabs for the LSU game tomorrow. Then going to NOLA for the Sunday night game.

This will be a long weekend.

  4. This week, I'm playing "internet articles". Besides this one, Cracked.com is pretty good for wasting time. Sort of like a casual Farmville-style game.

  5. No games for me. I have my Final on Tuesday for Nursing 1. I need to make at least a 47 to pass the class. So I am not terribly concerned but it is still important

      1. LOL. Explanation is in order. My average grade is high enough that I would have to make a 46 or less on the final to make a 75 or under for the class. 75 is considered a failing grade in Nursing school.

  6. I played and finished Uncharted 2 over the weekend, now I can't decide if I want to play MGS4 or Uncharted 3. I don't own a PS3 but have access to one. Big-13lak is my PSN user name (hyphen included).
