Microsoft has registered the domain name KinectHalo.com. So in addition to the rumors of the original Halo being remade with the Halo: Reach engine, there’s a chance that Halo will be retrofitted with Kinect controls. It’s exciting and scary all at once.
It’s exciting because millions of gamers love Halo and would be thrilled to play the game with revamped graphics. It’s scary because…well, I’m pretty sure that it would be impossible to play Kinect Halo without looking like a complete tool.
What do you make of Kinect Halo? Is it something that you’d be interested in? Do you think that the game would get more “hardcore” Xbox 360 players to buy Kinect?
I got excited while reading this. I love Halo (not mp though) and I literally stood up in my cubicle and demonstrated what it would be like to play Halo on the Kinect lol.

It sounds interesting. It would mostly depend on what controls they created for Kinect I suppose. Without knowing that it would be hard to say. The idea is cool though, and possibly something that could attract more hardcore players to Kinect.

How would you jump and shoot with Kinect Halo?
Or throw a grenade, or switch weapons, or climb a ladder, or zoom in with the sniper rifle, etc.
There are no ladders in Halo… just gravity lifts and the occasional freight elevator. Apparently, ladders are not necessary in the future.

That's easy. You jump by actually jumping and you shoot by using your hand to mimic the gun on screen by closing your fist and extending out your index finger and thumb. When you want to shoot, you rapidly flick your thumb up and down while exclaiming: "pew, pew, pew!"

I could see this working for alot of shooters… but not Halo.
Half the times anyone ever got shot in that game, it was by somebody doing one of those Jordan x 10 power jumps overhead and shooting down at the target. If I jump and employ the "pew, pew" method which truly is a revolutionary concept that I truly do pray actually becomes a standard for Kinect shooters, how am I going to see the target beneath me? If I move my head down to look down, I can no longer see the damn TV screen.
I could see CoD or MAYBE Battlefield, but not Halo.
