Coffee Talk #267: Your Favorite Music of 2010

It’s time for more of your 2010 favorites! This time around it’s music…because you can’t stop the music.

Welcome to Coffee Talk! Let’s start off the day by discussing whatever is on your (nerd chic) mind. Every morning I’ll kick off a discussion and I’m counting on you to participate in it. If you’re not feelin’ my topic, feel free to start a chat with your fellow readers and see where it takes you. Whether you’re talking about videogames, following Scarlett Johansson to Jamaica to console her, dreaming about the MacBook Air, or Paul Pierce giving Nate Robinson a back body drop, Coffee Talk is the place to do it.

It’s time for more of your 2010 favorites! This time around it’s music…because you can’t stop the music. This’ll actually be really good for me too since I shy away from modern music. All the indie-pop bands I loved in 2001 have broken up and the only new music I’ve listened to a lot this year is Infant Sorrow. Hopefully some of you will inspire me to buy some new tunes!

Now give it a go (please)! What was some of your favorite music in 2010?

  1. boooooooo! my previous comment disappeared and was awaiting moderation?!

    anyways the Tron Legacy Soundtrack is growing on me. It was made by Daft Punk and the London Symphony Orchestra.

    @consoling Black Widow

    If you win the lottery i say you go there first and then take us to go eat @ Slicky's

  2. I discovered Falconer this year and like them. N8 let me in on PowerGlove and they are awesome. First new music for me in a long time.

    Why oh why would you be dreaming about a MacBook Air? Wait 2 years for the refresh or get a 15 Pro.

    1. Can't get link to show on work PC, link goes nowhere on phone. Maybe just me, but I am trying to send this to a friend so she can buy her PS3 through your Amazon links.

  3. I haven't really started listening to anything new this year, still hate all the pop music that's out there from this year. I've been listening to a lot of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Wagner, System of a Down, Beethoven, George Clinton, Rage Against he Machine. That's pretty consistent for me though.

  4. I have been using Last.FM on my Android phone and discovered some awesome bands. So the music is old but new to me.

    I have been on a crazy European reggae binge lately and half of it I can't understand but the music is great.

    I shun modern pop music. Gimme Slipknot, reggae, and music from before1990.

      1. you need 395 out of your final four…with this scoring system, i dont know how likely that is

      1. First off, Matt Dodge should have been cut 3 or 4 weeks ago. Who the hell kicks to DeSean Jeackson? Who?!?

        Second off, explain to me why Justin Tuck was covering Brent Celek on that long TD catch? Someone? Anyone?!?

        Seriously…..
