  1. I got Civ for free weeks ago from free app of the day. Maybe I’ll check out Monkey Island since I hear good things. Hopefully iPad versions are on sale.

  2. I got Civilization Revolution but it seems ok but i think it's going to take time to get used to the gameplay. i think i'll hit up C&C, Geometry Wars and Risk.

  3. I can't figure out how to play Civ. I must be either very dumb or the controls aren't intuitive.

    I'd wager dumb though.

ha! i don't feel so bad now. i'm just trying to figure out how to replenish my armies if you can. I get them built up but what's the point of building up their rank if you can't add to it?? or maybe i need to figure that out.

  5. I bought NHL2K11 for my iPhone.

    @ those who got Civ

Check out a game called CastleCraft. It's free.

I'm in the PitEye realm and my user name is $leazy P. Martini.

  6. I might check out a couple games as long as the sales stay around for a few days. I still have to get my iPod touch fixed, and I am not positive what day I will be doing that.

I never liked Civ Rev though either when I had it.

  7. So i'm playing Risk right now and holding north America, the blue team clearly has me dominated as they control the rest of the world but refuses to go for the kill. Should i just keep fortifying my positions in Alaska, Mexico and Greenland. or should i just give up?

Stay strong and determined…haha. I would give up bcz I hate when the game drags out what should be a quick win. I would rather just play a new game and try my luck again.

  9. @bsu

i eventually built them up to where i had 100 people in each and made my final stand. let's just say it didn't work. It's hard to defend America when your enemy get 30 troop reinforcements to your 8 every turn. the AI is dumb for dragging it out like that.

Yeah it gets frustrating to play a game with slightly bad logic. Good example is this game I have been playing the trial of on XBL, called Catan. You have to trade resources with players in order to get ahead in the game (technically you don't, but it is pretty essential). There are also special cards that allow you to cut off a specific resource of an opponent and steal a resource at random from their available ones. The game then uses that card against me and then wants to trade with me after they have stolen from me. I clearly don't want to do business with them at that point (normally in the actual board game no one does either) but they try to do that. When I don't trade with them, they in turn don't want to trade with me bcz their AI personality is offended or something since I was unwilling to trade earlier. Bad game logic gets annoying.
