HBO Content Available for PS3 and PSP Through PSN

Sony has announced that HBO content is now available on the PlayStation Network and can be viewed through PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable consoles. Episodes of Entourage, True Blood, Rome, Da Ali G Show, Big Love, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Eastbound and Down, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, The Wire, and Flight of the Conchords are available. The content will be updated on a weekly basis.

As a huge fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage, I love this addition. Episodes will be available around the same time they’re released on DVD. The good news is that you can just buy the episodes you like for $3 a pop instead of buying the whole set. I’m hoping that HBO boxing content will hit PSN, but I don’t expect that to happen.

Any of you excited by this news? How many of you are going to fill your PS3 hard drives with Sex and the City Episodes?

  1. Shucks, I was hoping I could buy individual episodes of new content. I'm digging Treme and i want the Pacific.

  2. I will probably buy Rome. Wish they had Carnivale & I need to pick up the rest of OZ. HBO has the best series. Never could get into Entourage or The Wire.

  3. I already got the DVD's for the series but i will be interested in HBO boxing content!

I was thinking about that the other day when i was watching Iron Man 2. i also realized that Iron Man 2 doesn't stand the test of multiple screenings and also saw a nice easter egg towards the end when Tony and Fury are talking about his evaluation.

If you remember when they're talking and there's a map behind Fury. it points to spots of the map. Now i only had time to make out three spots: 2 in Africa, which i can't figure out why two and 1 near Finland or Norway. I'm trying to find a still shots of the map so i can make out what they can mean but most likely the locations of the Avengers team.

  7. I never liked Gary Shandling…but hes hilarious on real time when hes on as a guest
