Housekeeping: Custom Avatars for Comments

A few of you have been wondering how avatars work in the comments section. The blog uses the Gravatar system. If you have a Gravatar account, you can use any avatar you wish. When you make a comment here, be sure to use the same email address associated with your Gravatar account. That will make it so that everyone can see your awesome customized avatar. If you don’t use Gravatar, you get some funky monster that’s based off of your IP address.

Feel free to leave a comment with your custom avatar hotness!

  1. I'm currently rockin' Andre the Giant's mugshot. I have no idea what he got busted for, but I find it reaffirming.

If Andre can't get away with it… neither can I.

  2. @N8R Hmmm, that's an annoying thing about Gravatar and WordPress. Some times you have to empty your cache to see updated avatars. Right now I still see you dressed as Strawberry Shortcake with a penguin on your right shoulder (at least, that's what I think you were going for).

  3. kool, I wasn't sure it would show since i had to rate my avatar R, for harsh drug use. I didn't know you had to MPAA rate your avatar as well.

Yeah, I see Kurt Cobain gettin' his cancer on.

Dude… if you've never seen Red Dwarf… it's a must watch. It's a british show and can be hard to find in the states, but it's definitely worth searching out. I have every episode on my HDD and on DVD.

That's not me, that's Arnold Rimmer from the episode where he caught the holovirus and went crazy. Science Fiction Comedy FTW!

I'll bet. I don't speak Japanese worth a lick, but considering the culture over there, I could see Japan getting in to that show more than the states.

There's alot of people I play that show for and the humor goes right over their head. Rarely do I play it for/lend it to people that insist on watching the rest of them. But it does happen.

  6. Also glad to see you w/ your own site, though I won't be switching. I'll be enjoying the great taste of both! Variety is the spice of life…

  7. Of course the marine follows me. Been using him for a long time now. Hopefully, this site works at work. I've been deprived of nerd news for to long at work.
