This weekend is going to be tough for my “hardcore” games. I really want to play Alan Wake, but it will probably have to wait a few days. Most of my attention will be going to my HTC Evo 4G — it’s needy like that. I also need two more victories in Scrabble for Hasbro Family Game Night to get another Achievement. So yeah! That’s what I’ll be doing this weekend — enjoying my new phone and winning Scrabble games.

I'll be playing Batman AA in 3D. Unfortunately the GOTY edition of Batman doesn't recognizes all the hours I put into the original game so I am starting all over.
Also I found Cheats for Red Dead Redemption so maybe those will make it fun for the last few days I have it.
not a playing games friendly weekend. Tonight is shot because of the Blackhawks game. If i'm sober enough i might get more time for RDR, if not Saturday morning/afternoon is it for that game. I have to return it Sunday. Sunday is busy especially with Lost. Maybe i'll squeeze in from SSFIV on the two hour recap. Ah who am i kidding, i'll end up watching that recap.
Who knows, I still need to play L4D with BSU and what ever else comes my way.
I'll get on when I can this weekend. Today is busy because my wife is sick, who knows what tomorrow holds, and Sunday I scheduled my rehearsal around Lost.
My bandmates were like "dude, it's just a TV show". and I was like "f*ck you, we're rehearsing in the day time or else I can't make it."
More LP2 and maybe some FFXI. I'm kind of in a no competitive multiplayer mood lately.

I'm forgot I will be on FFXIII I think I'm on chapter 8 or 9. I just saw a real chocobo for the first time in the game and I was blow away at how awesome they look, the eyes are damn near photo realistic. My gf was amazed as well because the last chocobo she saw was in FFVII.

I hope you back up your PS3 on a semi regular basis. Sony will reformat your HDD when you send it in.

Nah… there is a fix. I got a buddy that works at a place that has no solid affiliations with Sony and repairs them all day. I told you guys about him the one day and how he had ridiculously more PS3's then he did 360's and we determined it had to be because of the warranties.
As for what the fix is… I'm not sure. When I asked my friend "why they were all crapped out" he said "different reasons, it depends on what they are or aren't doing".
Sony will repair mine for $150ish before tax or "upgrade" me to the slim for $150+shipping+tax=$190ish.
I am debating which to do because I don't use the BC currently to play my PS2 games and I don't use the media reader ports either.
They are sending me my "coffin" tomorrow.

i've havent had an issue with my fat ps3 yet. (knock on wood)
the only issue i had was that issue on march 1st when the fat ps3s were observing a phantom leap year.
PS3 problem "solved". Just bought a new 120Gb Slim. I think I got the last one in North Texas. Only one store within 100 miles had one. I called Sam's Club, Target, Best Buy, Fry's Electronics and Walmart. All out of stock. 1 Best Buy 1 1/2 hours away had 1 left so I had them hold it for me.
Did anyone else know that there will be a shortage of PS3s until late August? Best Buy isn't getting anymore until September.

They don't do anything with your data (besides wipe it) I am going to back up my hdd on my pc and try to transfer it over to my new one. I am probably going to go ahead and have mine fixed since its and original 60Gb, depending on what kind of warranty they give with their repairs.
Also the Batman AA GOTY edition I spent so long looking for and trying to buy is now stuck in my PS3 Fat. Sony said they will recover it for me and ship it with 2 months. Yay…..I think.
@SlickyFats There have been shortages all year. When you consider that, it's interesting that the NPDs have been so close. I wonder if Sony would have edged out Microsoft if the PS3 was well stocked.

90 warranty on repairs. Already went through this with a friend. If you have any success with transferring the data, tell me. All the info I found pointed to the console wiping the HDD if hasn't been used with that particular console before.

I wouldn't doubt it. When I picked mine up they said if I had not called ahead they would have sold mine 3 times over. It was pretty tough to find one at all.
I just spent more than an hour syncing my trophies on my PS3. I know it takes a while to sync my nearly 1000 trophies but come on Sony, 1+ hr???
I OFFICIALLY LOVE YOUTUBE!!! I found a video showing a blow dryer fix for the PS3. I did it and it started up and I got my disc out, currently backing up my hdd.
Couldn't you just take the hdd out and send it in without the hdd?

I plan on either taking out the 320Gb hard drive that I have in there and shipping it without or (if they require on) putting the original 60Gb hard drive back in and letting them wipe that one.
My console worked long enough for me to get my Batman game out but not long enough to backup any data.

No… they were alive the whole time on the island. The flash sideways was an afterlife type thing.
They all inevitably died at some point as does everything and the flash sideways was their chance to do what they wanted to do without Jacob's influence and be happy.
The finale wasn't very good imo. Purgatory. Do your time on the island and get rewarded. I am torn if the finale was as bad or worse than the Sopranos.

that was a great ending imo. I just can't stop and wonder about WAAAAAAALT! Do we forget that he even existed? Also, i can't believe Jack & Juliet just left their child albeit that i guess he never exists but still what's up with this show and parents just leaving children behind?? My last question what happens to Richard does he start living a full life when he gets back to the real world or does he just start decomposing on the way there since he's so old. lol.

Then again I might not just care for finales. Though I didn't have fault with the way Rome ended. I'm still sad I don't get any new Tony Soprano rants.
I never watched even one second of one episode of Lost. I always heard people talking about it, but then I would here about how confusing it had gotten and the story started to crap, so then I just steered clear of it.

miles and Lapidus probably went back to their lives before the island. Alpert didn't have anything in the real world anymore. imagine how freaked out he's going to be when he gets back. Why the Dharma was there is simple because Jacob brought them. Hurley was the new Jacob and Ben ended being the new Richard. I think Ben didn't go because he liked his alternate life.

I was wondering the outcome of the folks on the plane as well. Here are my theories:
The plane was infested with snakes and Samuel Jackson.
Richard has no SSN and can't get a job. He gets deported to the Canary Islands.
Claire killed Kate on the plane after she found out were Aaron was.
Sawyer just becomes someone else and gets away with it.
Lapidus meets up with Pierce Brosnan who does a series of tests on him using computers where Lapidus ends up inside the computer and begins to manipulate electrical objects for evil purposes.
Miles kicks John Edwards ass and takes his TV show.

oh yeah! I forgot about that. the Ab Aeterno episode made me forget that he was off island when he visited Locke and Juliet.
Even though I have never seen an episode of Lost, I feel that I can predict what is going to happen since it seems that the show is all about confusing everybody. I figured since I've never seen the show, I've got as good a chance as anybody to guess how the whole thing will end.
I predict that the whole island is one giant, living entity (just like Krakoa in the X-men comics) that has been screwing with the survivor's heads (and yours as well) the whole time. The living island will reveal itself in the final episode before it goes back to it's home planet of Moobvmbrn just in time for it's species’ millennial-long mating ritual and all-around “getting it on” time to make little baby islands just in time for a spinoff.

The DI is what brought Ben to the island. It's also the reason Desmond got stuck there when he could have fixed his boat instead. Also, Linus, Goodspeed (Horace or Ethan), and a few other DI people were named on the wall or the lighthouse.
Jacob had been trying to find his replacement for some time since he told Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley that he knew it was just a matter of time until MIB found a way to kill him.
I still want to know why only Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid went back in time from the second plane ride. There is no way I can find that that makes sense. If was Jacob protecting his candidates, it was a nonsensical move. How could they replace him in the 70's instead when he knew he didn't die then? If ir was the island that moved them… why?
The whole explanation for the time travel stuff leaves me pondering.

they time traveled because they always time traveled. If they wouldn't have gone back in time Ben never gets shot and gets taken to the temple thus losing his innocence. (insert joke here) and i can't think of another reason. I was going back and forth on whether they caused the incident or prevented the incident from happening.

Kate is the reason Ben gets taken to the Temple. Jack is there to either prevent the incident from taking down the island or to create the incident. I'm still not sure. Hurley is there to find his true calling of being a chef. honestly, i can't think of why Hurley is there.
