My friend John posted a link to the CTA Digital iPotty. This is a potty training seat with a built in iPad stand. It’s funny and horrifying at the same time. I’m not sure why any potty-training toddler needs this. I’m also not sure why any parent would think this is a good idea. To be fair, I don’t have any kids, so what do I know…except that I wouldn’t want a toddler playing with my iPad while feces and urine are flowing.
Just to check myself, please let me know if you think the iPotty is a good idea. For you parents out there, is this something you’d buy for your kids?
Makes me think of Butters.
I have 5 kids, yeah 5. Weep for me. Anyway, we never had to “potty train” any of the kids other than the 1st because the younger ones want to imitate the older ones, which includes using the bathroom. I would not have bought this item because kids, water, and expensive devices do not go over well in my house. I can see how it could work for people.
John, I think it’s time to get your stuff cut. Ha!
I think I am the only one on this site that is actually going through the whole potty training process right now.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I do not have an iPad, so it’s a moot point, but even if I did, I would not use it as part of the potty training, so, yes, this is pretty messed up in my opinion. The parent(s) and child should be focusing on the task at hand and nothing else. If you give them a computer, they will become distracted and it will take a lot longer for them to realize the purpose of being on the potty in the first place.
