Despite its ridiculously long season, performance-enhancing drug scandals, and the general existence of Alex Rodriguez, Major League Baseball has moments that make you remember why it’s America’s pastime. Last night’s All-Star game had one of those moments. It was awesome that the AL and NL all-stars let Mariano Rivera take the field by himself. It was brilliant watching him soak up cheers from fans, players, and coaches alike. It was a truly great homage to a truly great baseball player.

Aw, why are you hating on Alex Rodriguez Ray? :) I totally agree about Mo. Amazing career.
Oh, jeez, don’t get him started on A-Rod. From my outsider’s perspective, he seems to be one of the most polarizing figures for Yankees fans.

Why Vince? Because he’s a wretched human being — kind of like the Olivia Munn of MLB.
Who hurt you Ray? Nobody puts Ray in a corner. :)
… trying to figure out if that’s a boxing reference or a Dirty Dancing reference.

Could be both.
