What Are You Playing Over Christmas Break?

I hope that all of you have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends. Of course I expect you to be gaming during your time off. What are you planning to play? As for me, my brother has a PlayStation 3 and I’ve been instructed to pack a DualShock 3 to Hawaii. I’m also sorta kinda hoping that Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition for OSX gets approved by Apple next week (not likely). Really though, my Christmas break will be about family, swimming in warm ocean water, and soaking up some sun!

How about you? What’s on your holiday break playlist?

  1. I have a few game-sized packages under the tree, so there is some mystery involved.

I know about 2 for sure which is Max Payne 3 (almost done with it, in fact) and Dishonored. Not sure about the others, but I suspect Sleeping Dogs is one of them.

    1. Max Payne 3 has tempted me but since I never played the first 2 I’m unsure if it will be as good for me.

I will jump on AC:3 though. I disliked the others but the third looks so good.

      1. There’s an ongoing story that’s been running since the first AC. You may want to read some spoilers of the previous 4 installments to avoid confusion (which could EASILY ensue).

Otherwise, I loved AC3. When they announced it, I went and got Revelations just to make sure I had the story up to date. I rented AC3 and it took me a solid week. It would have been faster had I not been trying to do all the side stuff too.

What it seems like to me, is somebody over at Ubisoft was playing Red Dead Redemption online when some dude was probably trying to get on top of the one building in Armadillo. That dude said “Man, this would be alot easier if I could just run up it like Ezio”… and the light bulbs went off in Ubisoft guy’s head. Thus inspiring AC3.

      2. Funny you mention that. I’m actually playing AC1 right now. I splurged on eBay and bought AC1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. I’ve already played AC1 on the PC back in ’08, so I know how it ends, but I decided to start over and play the entire series altogether on the Xbox. (I had forgotten how repetitive that game could be… especially the damn flag collecting. It is a terrible thing to do to an achievement whore like myself.) I decided to take the plunge when all the AC DLC went on sale a couple of weeks ago. I bought most of the DLC and then realized that I have to buy the games now.

So yeah, don’t ruin anything for me after AC1, because I want to play out and learns what happens on my own.

        -M
