After years of being the biggest dick in the NBA, Kobe Bryant was supplanted by LeBron James as the most hated man in the league during the 2010-2011 season. Part of it was Bryant getting older; it’s tough to hate on veterans (especially those with a desire to win that’s so palpable that it can be felt in Canada) and some fans just got bored hating him. Most of the credit has to go to James, who executed one of the biggest heel turns in the history of professional sports. Surprisingly, a new player tops the list. According to Nielsen, the New Jersey Nets’ Kris Humphries is now the most disliked man in the NBA. Check out the top 10 list.
1. Kris Humphries (Nets)
2. LeBron James (Heat)
3. Kobe Bryant (Lakers)
4. Tony Parker (Spurs)
5. Metta World Peace (Lakers)
6. Chris Bosh (Heat)
7. Carmelo Anthony (Knicks)
8. Paul Pierce (Celtics)
9. Dwyane Wade (Heat)
10. Lamar Odom (Mavericks)
I suppose a fake marriage and a horrid reality show will do that to you. Ha!
Personally, I’m thrilled that Tony Parker checked in at the four spot. Dude is French and (allegedly) slept with a teammate’s wife (which is a totally French thing to do). He could easily nab the top spot next year if he fully embraces French stereotypes by wearing a beret at press conference, drinking wine instead of water when he’s on the bench, and taking smoke breaks during timeouts. All of this would be completely awesome.
Anyway, let me know what you think about this list. Who’s the NBA player you hate the most? Mine is Carlos Boozer. The man has no honor.
Haha poor Humphries. Enticed by the ass he probably saw in that Ray J video and now he's hated cause he got it a few times.
Yeah, Meta World Peace for me…but for years it was Karl Malone
I'm with you on Malone. Kobe's an alleged rapist, but Malone is an alleged statutory rapist and a deadbeat dad.

I literally had a moment of "Who the hell is Kris Humphries?" Then it came back to me.
I'm really not feeling the NBA this year. I'm not the world's biggest basketball fan to begin with, and always preferred college basketball to the pros. But the shenanigans that went on this (extended) offseason make me care just that much less.
I can understand Kris Humphries (even though I don't agree with it) and obviously LeBron, but Wade should not be up there. That guy is a cool cat. He's really a nice guy, he's got a ring and most importantly, he's humble. Why would people hate him? He never starts a fight and always keeps a cool head. He is the exact opposite of a dick on the basketball court (and off).
Why would people hate him? Is jealousy a factor in this?

I think they're confusing him with Dwayne Wayne from A Different World.
Wasn't that guy in "what's happening "???
No… That's Rerun.Dwayne Wayne was the dude with the flip up sunglasses on A Different World (Cosby Show spin-off).
No the other guy roge hung out with. The guy with the Afro.
No, that was Duh-Wayne.
Clearly it's a case of guilt by association with LeBron and Bosh.
I loved What's Happening as a kid. No way that anyone could hate Duh-Wayne. He just charms you in the intro. Look![youtube zpBhrjfetkk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpBhrjfetkk youtube]
I'm not a Kobe fan at all, but my most hated player in basketball has got to be anyone on the Celtics (sorry Big Blak) but especially Rajon Rondo. I've never liked him, even in college I wasn't a fan. Honorable mention goes to Joakim Noah and Michael Jordan. MJ was great, but I always favored Reggie Miller which meant I couldn't stand Jordan.
