What Are You Playing This Weekend?

I’d love to be playing games on my home consoles this weekend, but I’m flying off to Boston for a quick shoot. I’ll use the airplane time to play some Jetpack Joyride, Civilization Revolution, and Scribblenauts Remix on my iPad 2. I’ll catch up on some movies as well. You guys and dolls have any movie recommendations for me?

How about you? What’s on your weekend playlist?

  1. I got my account and MS points back, so hopefully I'll be able to finish the legendary co-op campaign with Bsukenyan if he's up for it. (Still can't get rid of that damn soccer game, though)

Other than that, I'm waiting for The Sims 3, Portal 2, and Plants vs. Zombies to show up in my mailbox from Amazon. That should keep me busy for a while. I also bought Forza 4 for my little brother's birthday, so I know that will end up on my console sooner or later. I thought Forza 2 was pretty good (although slightly boring).

    1. Movie recommendations:

Shaolin Soccer (best Kung Fu soccer movie EVAR!)
      Army of Darkness (a classic)
Hot Fuzz or Shawn of the Dead (Simon Pegg is like a Limey cross between Kevin Smith and Monty Python)
The Wizard (to get you pumped up for Noobz).

    2. I have to work tonight (should be an early night though, maybe around 10ish or a little later I can play til whenever), tomorrow night (much later night, but can play all day til around 4pm most likely), and Sunday is hard to say since I work in the middle of the day. Also my wife is gone for the weekend so whenever I'm not at work I should be available to play.

    1. Just caught Horrible Bosses over the weekend. I seriously don't understand why a man would have a problem with Jennifer Aniston trying to rape them at work every day. I want that job.

  2. I can help you out with this "powering of Halo Reach" if you would like. I've plowed through the game enough times to be a valuable asset. We can even ask Bsukenyan (or Sandrock or Smartguy) to join us so that we may power through even faster. Three-to-four player co-op on the legendary campaign is fun!

    1. I'm up for that. Tokz and I talked about getting you to join us in the campaign before but never got around to it.

  3. Uncharted 3 and some Gears 3 co-op most likely. May also dive into more Batman: Arkham City. Nedd to clear out all my backlog before Skyrim steals my life later this month.

  4. Will play some LoL (perhaps 4 matches) and then some BF3. Saturday evening will be taken up by beers and LSU vs Alabama. If the Saints pull what they did last weekend again, I'll be playing more BF3 on Sunday.

Also…there is nobody in this world who is more apt to play Legendary difficulty in any Halo than Iceman. I'm buying the remake of Halo 1 fyi.

    1. I can attest to the fact that Bsukenyan and Sandrock are equally if not, more apt to play Legendary in Halo Reach. I really am not as good at Halo as much as I am an achievement whore. This is evidenced by my really poor multiplayer skills. Halo 2 on Legendary is by far the hardest one out of all of them if you're curious.

I am definitely going to get the Halo CE remake, of course, I'm just thinking of when to buy it. Let me know when you have it or can play the game and I'd love to go co-op through the whole thing with you if you're up for it.

  5. It's a toss up between Halo Wars and Halo Reach so far, just depends on who is playing what. Either way i have to get rid of Halo Reach soon though too in order to get the best trade in value for it.

And of course playing more pokemon. I fell behind during the summer so it was only last week that I crossed the 300 hour mark in my game. Beginning of next week I will be able to use a second DS for a while so I plan on pokeshifting about 150 pokemon from HeartGold to Black, including my legendaries and perfect IV dittos. Once I get my dittos on 5th gen I can keep breeding some more pokemon, I think Dieno will be next one. Possibly Darumaka though since my Darmanitan is not EV trained or IV bred and it's bugging me that he isn't reaching his fullest potential.

  6. Of course you go to Boston when I leave, what's up with that? I highly recommend going to Sunset Grill and Tap if your in the Brighton area. Good food, great portions, and 250 beers on tap and about 100 others in the bottle.
