This Week’s Videogame Releases (Battlefield 3!!!)

Battlefield 3 hits stores this week and millions of gamers are psyched to get their hands on this military shooter. On the other end of the spectrum, which is decidedly pink, is Kirby’s Return to Dream Land. Continuing with Nintendo’s cutesy theme is Pokémon Rumble Blast. If you’re look for action that doesn’t involve wars or pink creatures with incredible suction powers then you might want to give The House of Dead: Overkill and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi. Lastly, if motion floats your ocean then perhaps Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports: Season Two are for you.

Any of you picking up new games this week?

  1. Will certainly rent Battlefield 3 at some point. Next purchase is Skyrim (unless someone wants to get me Uncharted 3 for my birthday later this week).

  2. Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland is still one of my favorite GBA titles to-date. There's nothing like a no-gimmicks-attached Kirby platformer; it's simply wonderful.

      1. That was surely an excellent reply, Your Excellence. Any other excellent things to say excellently?

      1. The last Kirby game I had fun playing was Squeak Squad, and not because of the touch-screen features (though having a choice of abilities stocked away is always nice), but rather because there were no strings attached (pun intended), no inky art or spherical heroes (curses!), and only 1 Kirby to deal with. I'd rather have a straight-up Kirby game than anything else they've come up with. Good luck finding that game, I guess…

      2. The one I always played the most was Kirby's Dreamland 2 on my first Game Boy. Beat that game a lot when I was younger. It's been a long time since I've played a good Kirby platformer, but I saw Squeak Squad on Amazon earlier so if I ever want to pick that up I at least know where it's available.

  3. Amazon should have battlefield 3 to me tomorrow :) but first, I will be playing Exterminatus in Space Marine while I wait for UPS. Waahhh!

      1. I held out on buying it until your ads were back ;) and now that I got my 20 credit from that game, Skyrim is now pre-ordered.
