RPad.tv Second Anniversary!!!

Today is RPad.tv’s second birthday! They grow up so fast…. Anyway, to celebrate the site’s birthday, RPadholic N8R graciously donated his time to create a new banner for the site. Since community is a huge part of RPad.tv, I’d love to hear your input. What one character would you like to see in the new RPad.tv banner? Please leave your suggestions in the comments section!

  1. My idea is to have my head on Quan Chi's body and Big Blak's head on Sonja's.

    Then of course the banner would be an animated gif of me beating Big Blak repeatedly with his own leg.

    1. I was thinking of something like that but maybe just having ur avatar as the banner so everyone sees how BB has been avoiding you.

      1. Kinda like how NFL.com has the live scoreboard at the top… that would be awesome.

        However, I'd be an asshole and make my score reflect the live national debt instead just so when somebody looked at it, my score would be going up by the thousand every second… and Big Blak would have zero.

      2. How am I avoiding N8? I want you to list legitimate reasons as to why this is so. Matter of fact…

        Here let me refresh YOUR memory.

        N8 challenges me on a day that I am not on Rpad.tv.
        I do see it and jokingly agree to the fight on a day I wasn't available.
        I come back here two days later and there is this massive movement against me, saying that I'm ducking N8 (all while I am getting ready for the biggest change in my life).
        I am going out on every weekend (as planned b4 this bs MK challenge) saying my goodbyes and seeing friends and family.
        I then give N8 an actual date for the challenge and he somehow turns that into me forfeiting.
        This past weekend I was visiting my mom.
        This weekend coming up I'm going out with another group of friends.
        The weekend after that I am moving to CO.

        And I"M AVOIDING N8, don't make me scoff.

        N8 is feeding all of you guys some bs right off the palm of his hand.

        3. If I sucked that badly, I'd be ducking me too.
        4. The "actual date" you gave was a date I would need a time machine to show up for at this point.

        1. we are in google chat and unless you were ignoring all of our messages I'm sure u saw us asking n8 if you had accepted his challenge.

        2. The one day n8 couldn't play due to work he still got home early to challenge u. U said u were at the store and would be ok to play for 30 mins but never brought up playing MK.

        3. I back heels and N8 has gone full heel on u. I love it. He's done everything to make u look a coward except go to Boston and call u out.

        ^That is what I said to him. While I was at the store I got a G+ message that he sent me a party chat invite. I joined the chat and the first thing I asked him was if he wanted to play MK. HE left on the day I ACTUALLY HAD TIME to fight him.

      9. Hey, I haven't been fed anything from anyone. I'm a neutral party in this. Granted, I do laugh my ass off at the creative ways that N8 hurls insults your way (much like Monty Python and his Flying Circus), but don't forget that I'm actually the only one here that tried to logically analyze both of your MK abilities based on achievements earned.

        My conclusion was that both of you guys seem pretty much on par (achievement-wise) and that it is impossible to tell which one is actually the better fighter based on empirical data alone.

        or something similar (I don’t know, I'm not an A/V guy). So, yeah, I'll be willing to put up half the money of a video capture card/device if one of you guys are wiling to put up the other half simply to record your fight. I won't even want the damn thing after you’re done with it. At this point, I'm actually putting up money to see the two of you fight.

        I'll do some research. I'd like to have one for various reasons and the wife is clueless as to what to get me for Christmas (as am I).

        Also… both BB and I run Macs. We have to find a capture card that is Steve Jobs friendly.

      13. Oh, please! Spending half the money on a cheapie capture device is hardly going to put me into the poor house.

        Pinnacle, Elgato, and Roxio all sell inexpensive capture devices for Mac. If you can hook up the Xbox directly to your monitor, you have even more options with video capture software. Just give me the PayPal e-mail address and the amount and it's a done deal.

        Remember, this is for my (ours, really) entertainment. Like Bsukenyan mentioned, this is better than a PPV fight (especially if you can find a way to include the trash-talking between the both of you). I was always the guy in the middle of the crowd watching the two best people go at it during the Street Fighter II arcade glory days. I spent hours watching people who were way better than me compete for biggest ego. It was awesome.

        … we really need to bring back the old-school arcades.

      14. I've got video capture software with Screenflow and I even have my HDTV set up as an external monitor, I just have no idea how to run the Xbox to my iMac. All of the ins are USB.

        I would think I'd need some kind of hardware to convert it.

        It's not that I think it would dent you financially as much as it is the principle of it. I want one anyway. I would especially like to find something (like you said) that also captures the party chatter.

        @ Ray and SG in particular, but anyone else who may know as well

        Please… if you guys know anything about this stuff, let me know, drop links, whatever. I'm looking into it as much as I can, but I'm getting distracted easily because I don't really know where to start looking. Maybe newegg? I'm ignorant in the dark over here.

      15. I'll record myself (N8 can do the same) and send the audio file to N8 or vice versa and then one of us can add the track to the video so that way you won't miss a thing. You'll get the Real Ste..deal, you'll get the real deal.

  4. This is by far my favorite website. Lets make it to year 10 and by then all Ray will have to do is give a thumb up or down for approval. Someone else will do the grunt work.

    All in all I am very pleased that website exists and the people that are drawn to it.

    I really love this site and the people that frequent it.

  7. I'm casting my vote for Minccino or Klink as the pokemon of choice for the banner. Or maybe Haxorus and Eelektross since those both look pretty cool tough pokemon, and the other two being more cute than tough.

      1. there's already Pikachu in the banner now. I just think it might be time for an update, something current gen instead of sticking with the tried and true pikachu.

      2. A Vagisaur is a Bostonian breed that has the Kombat prowess of crippled french platypus. It runs at the thought of a real challenge but can't run well and surrenders like the french.

        The platypus part is because it looks funny and I laugh when I say it's name.

    2. My vote is for Emboar. He is tough looking and has a better chance of being recognized by nonfans because it is a starter.

      P.S. My Emboar is nicknamed Butablin.

      1. I don't think nonfans really know too many of the 5th gen. pokemon anyways, but you are right a starter might be more recognizable. I still think Minccino would be a good replacement for Pikachu. Out of any video game characters I think no matter which one it is, Pokemon are rather easy to pick out of a lineup of video game characters. Regardless, why limit ourselves to only one pokemon?

      5. The only thing I'm finding upsetting about the Bills thus far is that CJ Spiller is just not the player I thought he would be by now. Perhaps he'll show up, or you can always trade him to Miami for a pizza and cap space.

      6. Yes, that's exactly what we need; another Reggie Bush. I hope we go 0-16 this year so we can clean house and start rebuilding … again.

        Well, at least looking at the Lions gives me hope for the future.

        I think Spiller isn't getting enough exposure since Fred Jackson is just beasting it up. Then again…RBs come and go fast so perhaps a blessing in disguise.

        I'm pretty confident in Mark Ingram's future.

  10. I think the banner should have some gadgets in it, unless there is some copyright issues I am unaware of. An iPad or iPhone, Android something, consoles, and a motherboard lol.

      1. Why don't you interview her for this site? I mean, she's probably going to be in promotion mode for The Avengers movie anyway, right? Just put in a request to her agent/agency. Who knows? You may get a green light for it if it's just like for a few minutes. Tell them something like: "The thousands of Avengers fans that view my site want to know more about the characters." (Try to keep a straight face when you say "thousands of Avengers fans that view my site").

        Also, if you want, I can buy you a couple of buckets off Amazon so that you keep them under you during the interview to collect the drool.
