Welcome to Coffee Talk! Let’s start off the day by discussing whatever is on your (nerd chic) mind. Every morning I’ll kick off a discussion and I’m counting on you to participate in it. If you’re not feelin’ my topic, feel free to start a chat with your fellow readers and see where it takes you. Whether you’re talking about videogames, Rafael Nadal hopefully breaking his leg so he doesn’t win the Aussie Open, Verizon confirming $30 unlimited data for iPhone, or your favorite gourmet soda, Coffee Talk is the place to do it.
After years of solid use, my Logitech Wave is on its last legs. I wanted to see what keyboards you guys and dolls like. Do you have a preferred keyboard? Or do just use the one that came with your PC?
Although the Wave has served me well, I miss typing on a mechanical keyboard. Most models are membrane or scissor-switch these days. I’m pretty sure that my next keyboard will be a mechanical, partially because I miss the crisp feel of those keyboards and mostly because I want to see if I can type loud enough to annoy my neighbors. Razer is supposed to send me a BlackWidow Ultimate for review and I’m hoping that it’s everything I want in a keyboard.
Now let me know about your keyboard preferences (please!).
I don't have any kool keyboards, i just use the one that came with the pc. i don't game on my pc as much so there's no point. I like the keyboard at work since i work off a laptop the company got me a wireless keyboard.
@gourmet soda
i think you mean gourmet "pop" not "soda".
@verizon
it's a smart move for them to keep it. Unlimited data for $5 more sounds better than 2 GB for $25.
Yes… he means pop.
Funny thing, I say pop in California, they know what I mean. When I said pop in Canada, they said "You mean… what kind of popcorn do we have?"
It depends where you go in Canada. I've found different slang used in Vancouver, Toronto, and Edmonton.
Yeah, I use the Apple keyboard that came with my Mac.
same here, dell keyboard with my dell quad
I use the mini keyboard that came with my iMac. Not sure what Keyboard I will get for my PC. I use a Razer Death Adder as my mouse of choice though.
It is all called coke in the south.
As a guy who writes and records music professionally (but not necessarily a "recording artist"), and while I'm on a linking binge, I submit:

Probably never be able to afford it, but I'm sure I could find some handy uses for the tech.
SOB! and it's out of stock! thank you for saving me from an impulse buy! (not like i had that kid of money to blow anyways, haha)
Yeah, I'm with most of these guys above. I use the original Dell keyboard that came with the Dimension 4600 I'm still using, which is damn near a decade old at this point. Frankly I'm surprised it can support internet.
Default for me but at work I use an ergonomic Logitech.
Woke up this morning to a Froyo update, I'm very excite, yes?
No typo its a Borat.
I'm using a Logitech second generation G15 keyboard at my office and I have a MacBook Pro at home. This keyboard is great and it's lasted me about four or five years now.
Sorry I couldn't post yesterday, I kept getting that stupid "505 Chicken Not Found" error message.

Typing my first sentence on the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate. The feel of mechanical keys is awesome and I love how loud this thing is. Ha!
