Opera for Tablets Teaser Video

Opera has released a teaser video for an upcoming version of its popular mobile web browser. This particular flavor will be optimized for tablet computers. The video shows the browser running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab (Google Android) tablet. While the stock Android browser is pretty excellent, Opera’s aggressive caching should help people lower their data usage, which will come in handy for people dealing with data caps.

The video doesn’t show a whole lot, but I expect more to be revealed when CES 2011 kicks off in full force.

  1. Wow that video was a bit of a let down. I used the Galaxy Tab at AT&T. The stock browser was very smooth and had smooth panning and zooming.

I never have liked the Opera browser though. I tried to use it on my LG Incite but it said my screen size was wrong and was unable to install. I decided if they were too dumb to make it work then I doubted it could browse the web.

Tried it again on my Captivate, but I can't figure out why anyone like it compared to stock browser.
