Today’s Poll: Will The Miz Be Champion at WrestleMania 27?

The Miz (Mike Mizanin) has been WWE Champion for a little over a month. Some of you think he’s “unworthy” of being WWE Champion, yet he’s drawing real heat and getting all sorts of mainstream exposure. Do you think he’ll keep the strap going into WrestleMania XXVII (April 3, 2011)? Or is he merely a transitional champ that’s keeping the title warm for Randy Orton or John Cena? Kindly vote in today’s poll and discuss!

  1. I'm 95% possitive he carries the belt into Wrestlemania and drops it to either a returning HHH, or John Cena.

      1. I see 2 plausible scenarios:

He sneaks out of Elimination Chamber with the belt after underhandedly pinning Cena as the last two, setting up the Wrestlemania Match. Cena gets his revenge at 'Mania.

HHH comes back and wins the Royal Rumble to get the title shot. HHH squashes him like a bug at 'Mania and then carries the belt for at least 3 or 4 months.

      2. I'm curious to see what Hunter wants to do. It seems like fatherhood has changed him. That combined with the WWE's youth movement makes me wonder if he even wants to carry the company for a long stretch again. Perhaps he'll use himself like HBK did over the last few years of his career — be a top draw without needing a belt and take off several months at a time.

      3. I just don't see him coming back without reestablishing himself as the top dog, at least for a while. Maybe he drops the belt to the next new guy they want to make Champ at Summer Slam. Seems like it would give him a standard HHH length run and still work with the whole "Youth Movement" concept.

  2. I'm so damn bored at work today.

We got like an inch and a half of snow here last night and I'm the only person here who showed up.

and… I have nothing to do.

    1. I totally see it. Vince always uses the event to try and cross promote. Mike Tyson was at Wrestlemania. Lawrence Taylor. The list goes on and on. If they can ride The Miz's MTV D-List celebrity fame through to Wrestlemania, they will.

The Miz does not belong in the same conversation with all of those Wrestlemania headliners.

      2. It's easy to say that looking through the retroscope. JBL? That's arguable. Yokozuna and Luger aren't exactly legendary figures. Diesel was champion during one of the WWE's lowest rated period. As great as Eddie, Benoit, and Rey were in the ring, they were booked as poor champions because Vince didn't like their size. Frankly, it's too early to say whether The Miz belongs in the group. He has only been champion for a little over a month. He has been doing well as a cowardly heel and mainstream press personality. He has a great opportunity and looks like he wants to take advantage of it.

  3. i support the Miz having the title and headlining Wrestlemania. over the break i listened to the BS report with him and he had a great interview it made me like him even more. He is a great heel and i'm glad that everyone else hates him. it makes me like the guy even more.
