  1. Thundercracker toppled a Fantasy Football giant but i never really expected to win. My team overachieved. i had no WRs or a QB for half the season. My patchwork team could only go so far. Good move by Thundercracker picking up the Bears D i was going to do it but he beat me to it.

    1. yeah as much as my team should have done better during regular season, they fell apart last week and this week for the most part. a couple solid players still going strong, but not enough.

    2. My 3 WR's, TE, and QB did horrible this week. My top WR scored 70, with my other two scoring 10 each. My TE only got 20, because he is my secondary since Antonio Gates is out. And my QB only got 268, which is a huge improvement from last week's 128 points. They played well earlier in the season, but they are practically done now. Hopefully I have better luck next season.

  2. Falcons 11-2 baby! Matt Ryan is awesome this year. Who does he have to send a picture of his penis to to get some attention?

      1. I can't call Ryan elite. Good to average is where I see him now. Ryan looked not so good last season without Turner. He is also benefitting from White not dropping a thing. I'll get some hisses but I don't see him playing better than Delhomme did when he took Carolina to the big dance.

Nothing wrong with that type mind you.

Bradford has done a lot with a 1 win team from last year.

      2. With that logic the same can be said about any QB. How good does Peyton Manning look this year with his TE and RB? How good did Brett Favre look without Percy Harvin? How good would Drew Brees look without his weapons?

      3. @RROD

Drew Brees has won a lot of games without a stud RB like Turner, Ryan hasn't. Example, last year.

      4. I agree with Smartguy. he is poor to average QB on the road especially against playoff contenders this year. He is great at home. i think to be considered an Elite QB you have to prove it on the road as well, this is how you get recognition like Brady, Manning, Roethelisberger, and so on.

      5. I understand your stance on the SIT-U SG & Tokz and it is true what you say. I'm really biased because Matty Ice came out of Boston College lol.

      6. @RROD

3 of those wins are against the Browns, Rams, and Panthers. If you're an above average team you beat those teams especially on the road. The barely escaped NOLA with a win and TB. I think you're looking at him through biased eyes. He's a good QB and shows flashes here and there but he's not an elite QB for me yet.

      7. The other 2 were against the Saints and the Bucs. I may be slightly biased because you all know I love my Falcons, BUT Matt is better than people give him credit for. I'm not saying he's elite, yet, but all I'm saying is he is a really good QB and has all the potential to be an elite QB.

BTW, you can't win em all. Even the great Tom Brady fell to the lowly Bengals this year. At least we lost to 2 great teams(Eagles & Steelers).

      8. @rrod

Yes you are correct about ur stats of the other elite qbs and matt ryan but this is like his first year with consistent numbers. He needs to do it year after year. If hes able to keep this up next year too then ill bump him up. He's just not there for me yet but he has my attention. He's defintely in the top 10 for me.

  3. Matt Ryan: QB rating 90.7 pass yds 3,147 TD 22 INT 8

Peyton Manning: QB rating 91.2 pass yds 4,028 TD 26 INT 15

Drew Brees: QB rating 93.6 pass yds 3,855 TD 28 INT 18
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=2

Ben Roethlisberger: QB rating 94.8 pass yds 2,336 TD 13 INT 5(missed 4 games)

Tom Brady: QB rating 109.9 pass yds 3,398 TD 29 INT 4

Sam Bradford: QB rating 79.1 pass yds 2,884 TD 17 INT 12

Matty Ice's numbers are on par or better than the elite QBs numbers except for Tom Brady so how can anyone call him "average"?

    1. I'm not ready to kick Matt Ryan up to elite status until he does it in the postseason like 4 of the other guys on that list have done (I'd say the say about Bradford)

      1. A bullshit QB rating system that can show a perfect rating for a statistically low game and a low rating for a statistically better game and then averaged out is a crap measure. It's like slugging percentage in baseball. It's crap.

Post season victories, TD to Int ratio (though you can argue this), wins. QB rating is crap.

      2. Let me add passing yards per completion, attempts per game, etc. Success vs blitz. Accuracy. Those are good stats. QB rating is a jumbled mess.

      3. And don't say Super Bowl rings because Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger didn't win any Super Bowls, their defenses did.

  4. Hey, guys! I just figured out what The Dolphins need to do next year to make it to the playoffs (possibly even the Superbowl): Sixteen road games and none at home. They are 6-1 away and 1-5 at home). This is great since this means that I can have my revenge on Big Blak!

    -M

    1. Possibly. Its better to take a loss to the Dolphins during the regular season than in the playoffs!!!!

  5. My prediction for the Superbowl:

New England (sorry, N8) vs. Atlanta (sorry, Smartguy). The final score will be 31-24, Patriots win (sorry, RROD).

My detailed mathematical analysis is based on a formula I dubbed the "Iceman Model". It primarily takes into account the effect of cold weather on competing teams. Ha, ha. No, seriously, I put a lot of effort and thought behind this process and that's my best guess right at this moment in time.

    Anybody know a good bookie?

      1. The Pats are making it to the big game, if not the Pats then the Steelers. They have the best team in the AFC after the Pats.

      2. For s much as I would REALLY like to agree, I don't know if I can and not for the reasons you would think i can't agree.

Truth is, the Steelers have been BARELY pulling out the W's in truly nail-biting fashions. The Pats completely handed our ass to us. Big Ben is playing with a few injuries. Our O-Line just isn't up to par… I can pick apart our imperfections all day… offensively. Our D is doing great though, and Hines is doing better than I thought he would.

In my unbiased, out of my personal perspective feelings… I have to say that the Pats are a technically better team and after them… my hat is truly off to the Ravens. Even though we squeaked past them, those bastards truly are a force.

This is the most honest you will ever hear me talk about football. My heart is completely with the Steelers… but c'mon.

If we get past the Pats in the playoffs… we might as well have won the Bowl in my opinion.

      3. Nah dude your right. Even with the injuries the Steelers keep pulling out Ws. I feel that the Steelers never give up and play 60 mins of football on both sides of the ball. The same can only be said in my opinion about the Ravens D, they don't quit. That is why I think the Steelers are a better team than the Ravens.

      4. I hope somebody, anybody beats the Pats in the playoffs. I sure don't want my Falcons to play them in the Super Bowl.

      5. I'm not discrediting the Steelers seeing that they already beat us without Big Ben but I know we CAN beat them.

      6. All too true.

I'm mainly worried about the Pats because every person on that team seems to have our playbook memorized.

Seriously, when we played them this year, we hadn't performed that poorly since 2004… and THAT was against the Pats.

However… when you look at the history of the Steelers in the post-season, it's no shocker that the entire league fears seeing Pittsburgh in the post-season. Christ, I myself am terrified of James Harrison.

  6. The Phillies are going to be a world series contender again once the Cliff Lee deal is finalized, 5 years for 100 mil.

    1. The NFC is tight this year. There are no between teams lol, either they are doing great or sucking hard. I can't pick but it will be one of 3 teams, Falcons, Saints or Eagles representing the NFC in the big dance.

      1. If we finish wit the best record, and it looks like we will with the Seahawks, Saints(in the GA Dome), and Panthers(in the GA Dome, not that it matters with the Panthers), then I'm confident that the Falcons will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl seeing as everyone will have to come to the GA Dome where it looks like we can't lose.

      2. Saints lost twice last year in the dome. Anything can happen…..except Brady losing in NE it seems.

  7. By the way, the NOLA Paladins beat my Cybertron Shake Weights yesterday by 2 points (look it up).

Is that the closest game of the season?

    1. Probably is, I think the only other one that comes close to that was 20ish points between the two scores. Nice Job @NOLA Paladins.
