What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Aside from Wordfeud for Android with RPadholics Big Blak and SlickyFats, I’m still not playing much of anything in Asia. I will be playing some games on United’s business class IFE on the trip back, but that’s about it. Surprisingly, I don’t miss my consoles too too much. I love traveling, seeing different countries, and experiencing different cultures. My mind has been so busy with Asia, the shoot, and my cold that I haven’t regretted not brining my PSP or DS. Yeah, that sounds blasphemous, but I’m being honest. Ha!

Soooooo, what are you guys and dolls playing this weekend?

  1. I am going to try to raid ICC 10 on Saturday. Maybe fit in some inFAMOUS.

    My gf's father passed away, so I'm not sure how much time that will allow me. I might only be able to do the first few rounds of our draft on sunday and then set it to autopick. We'll see though.

  2. Don't know for sure. I've been playing a lot of NCAA football lately (I find it superior to Madden this year), but Alan Wake came from Gamefly and I'd like to give that a try as well.

  3. I am playing Alan Wake right now, and I have to say the story is captivating so far. I am definitely enjoying this game while I have it. Whenever I finish this game I will probably go back to playing Afro Samurai, which is awesome to play because I am a big fan of the series and love the story. Then Plants vs. Zombies is set to be released on Wednesday for XBLA so I am ready to get that game asap. Then it should be a coast until Halo: Reach.

  5. My wife us picking me up the new Madden right now, so probably some of that. I might play Dead Rising 2: Case 0 sone more. I made a paddle-saw last night and it ROCKS.

    Then of course, the rpad.tv football draft.

  7. get further along on ff13 hopefully up to chapter 9 or something like that. besides that if i take a break maybe some Mw2 or some other game. i'll see what kind of lime sorbet i'll want. oh and the draft as well.

  8. I rented MAFIA II the other day. I didn't play it for the first day but the second day I played in well into the morning. I finally went to bed at 4am and I slept through my alarms long enough that my phone died.

    Mafia 2 is surprisingly fun. It feels like GTA but got rid of all of the crap I hated. I am only on Chapter 4 but I hope to get a ton of time in with it today and through the long weekend.

    Also need to beat Limbo (360) and play Castle Crashers that I just bought on PS3.

    That was my first time to see that. Some of the launch games with the move are getting crappy reviews. But then again a lot are getting good reviews also.

    The Move comes out just 3 days before my birthday so I'm getting it regardless of reviews at this point. The fighting game, shooting game and sword play look fun.

    those are the games that got me interested too. i saw them do a demo of the gladiator one on aots yesterday but it looked lame but the fight night one or whatever it's called looks pretty awesome.

    For those who can't tell by the picture; It's Dead Rising Case 0. I am determined to make a weapon that N8 hasn't thought about yet which I should totally get an achievement for if I do, because he's not making it easy. I guess I should go and watch some old McGyver episodes on Hulu or something. I also have to get around to Halo Wars before Reach comes out. And if my wife passes the CPA, I'll reward her by playing the two RE5 DLC episodes with her.

    Thanks for all of the ideas you gave me yesterday. I have yet to make the "electric rake", but I'll see if I can do that one tonight. Oh, and great news about Roethis-raper because I drafted him as a back-up QB in one of my other fantasy leagues as a back-up QB. I drafted him based on your predictions. I'm glad they came true.

    I'm curious, with Alan Wake what play through did you get the collectibles on? Other than the manuscript pages that are in Nightmare difficulty only, which I felt was pretty self-explanatory. lol. I am really enjoying this game so far. For some reason I now want to go back and finish Bioshock as well, I think it is the collectibles and slowly unfolding story that's doing it.

    I was an idiot and didn't try to collect everything the first time around, which means that I had to beat it on Normal, then Nightmare (and collect all the nightmare pages), then go back to Normal and get everything that I missed the first time around (which answers your question). It's not as bad as it sounds, however, since after you beat the game, you can start playing from any episode (and chapter) and just get everything you missed before without having to play through the entire game again.

    A tip for nightmare difficulty; Run away like a pussy as much as you can. Save your ammo for fights you cannot avoid since ammo is scarce and bad guys can take many bullets to kill. Also; don't miss when you're shooting someone! Flares and cinematic dodges are your best friends. Run towards the next checkpoint/safe haven as fast as you can while turning around every few seconds and "stunning" the people that are chasing you to buy some time to keep running. If you're being chased and you find a generator to turn on the safe haven light, always pop a flare before cranking up the generator, especially if you hear the "bad-guys-are-coming-to-kill-you" music.

    She's taken the Regulation and the Auditing parts already. I think her next one is going to be Business and then Financial. It's her busy season at work now until the end of the month, so I don't think she'll do much studying in September. But she tells me that she'll be done with the whole thing before the end of the year is over.

  32. Unfortunately, I won't be playing anything this weekend. I haven't been able to play anything for the past two and a half weeks. My 60gb PS3 got the 'flashing red light' and I just recently learned that it's basically unrepairable. (insert sadface here) Hopefully I'll be picking up a Slim in a few days though. My advice to everyone here- if you don't already, BACK UP YOUR DATA on a regular basis. I'm gonna start doing it monthly. (wait, that came out wrong)

    GO PURDUE!! my sister goes there now, my mom graduated from there, my dad went there for a little while before transferring to a different school in Chicago, and my grandma (dad's mom) worked in the offices there for a number of years. My family has taught me well to hate the fighting irish and cheer on the Boilermakers. lol.

    All things considered, my autodraft team isn't putrid. I usually have horrendous luck in fantasy football though. I tend to clean up in fantasy baseball, and am usually mired in the middle of the pack (or worse) in fantasy football.

  41. @tokz: I actually stopped playing baseball with the group I was in because they'd all offer you crap like Felipe Lopez straight up for Chase Utley. I tried playing nice for a while, but after a couple seasons of that junk I couldn't help but respond by saying things like "I've finished in the top two 3 of the last 4 years now, so I'm obviously not THAT stupid. Come back with a real offer when you feel like being serious."

    I faltered by not being around for my first two picks. I really wanted Peyton Manning as my first pick but the autopick got me a WR. Thus Big Blak (I believe) got him. That threw off my game plan a bit from what I wanted.

  45. I actually get them sent to my phone right now since I don't have a smartphone with an app to check that stuff. So I get a txt and respond by txt usually with twitter. I set it up to get txts from ppl that I follow that I figure would actually tweet me back (like everyone here at the site).

  47. its really hard to propose a trade in espn, simply because they dont include player rankings when you want to propose one. Its just a lot easier to make trades when you can compare stats and projections.

    I may actually be ok with zach miller, but if i were gonna trade arian foster or jahvad best, id need a top 5 tight end. I almost think we should have another flex position. If Matt stafford can hold down the fort, i actually really like my team

  49. I agree, N8, Shake Weights will be in our fantasy league’s Super Bowl. It's a shame, however, that they will lose to a Cold Day In Hell.

    Wow that sounds like a lot of fun. Sounds like work the other day for me too, unloaded a truck a few mornings ago that was a little over 3000 pieces. A big truck is around 2300.
