Remember when T-Mobile launched a teaser site for its upcoming HSPA+ Android phone? The site has been updated to reveal that the phone is the T-Mobile G2. The rumor is that this phone is the HTC Blaze with an HSPA+ radio — 3.7-inch screen, slide-out keyboard, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, etc. I’m hoping it’s more than that; 3.7-inch screens are so 2009 and the miracle of Swype means that I no longer a physical keyboard. While this phone will almost definitely have a keyboard, I’m hoping that the G2 comes with a 4.3-inch screen.
Any of you interested in the G2? What features do you want it to have? On a side note, Amazon has the Samsung Vibranton sale for $0.01!!! Looks like inventory is being cleared to make way for T-Mo’s September and November models.
If it has a 3.7 then I'm not interested. Maybe a newer processor. I can deal with snapdragon though. Def needs bigger screen.
@smartguy You use Swype much? I wasn't into it at first, but now I find it amazing.
@ Swype
I love it more than ever now. At first I would do one word at a time but you can literally swype a paragraph in a few seconds and then double tap the words that don't fit and swype corrects the words according to the context of the sentence. Amazing!
@big blak
you have swype on your mytouch 3g???
@Swype
I just started using Swype about 3 days ago. At first I thought it was dumb and there was no way it was faster. But now I fly through it. I was having trouble doing double letters but its nothing now. I enjoy Swype but it is not without its flaws. Typing irregular words like e-mail addresses or things like Big13Blak into Wordfeud can take longer than normal or I forget to confirm my selection before hitting enter.
But I am now a HUGE fan of Swype. Best part is it generally knows what you mean even if you were WAY off on hitting the correct keys.
@SlickyFats You can just add things to your dictionary. That solves that issue.
this is the only feature i am jealous about not having on an iphone
@ Tokz
Yea I got the newer model of mytouch3g, it still runs on Dounut (Android 1.6) but I downloaded an app called ADW launcher and it changes my UI to the Nexus One UI and I can do a lot of customizing with it with out rooting.
@Big Blak
Hmmm i wonder if my gf can get that or has that now??? is the ADW launcher in the Android App store? or is it a 3rd party app?
@ Tokz
Its in the app store and its free!!!! If she wont like it I know you will lol.
@big blak
i would steal her phone just to swype text myself! how sad! someone should make an app or jailbroken app like this for the iphone.
@tokz_21 if she can't get into the beta, I can hook you up with a working Swype file.
@rpad
that's a beta app?? wow! that sounds kool. thank you very much for the thought. Would that mean i'd have to root it to use your swype file?
@Swype
I am watching the Swype Tips on YouTube. I had no idea if you Swype from the Swype button to the Sym button you get a ton of editing options. Also slide from Swype to the 5 for a numerical pad. This thing is better than I knew.
@Ray
I have used it a few times on other ppl's devices and have no problem using it.
@tokz
Swype is coming to iOS
@ Slicky
Word man I had no idea lol and I still can't think of a word for wordfeud lol.
