Looking for a smartphone but are short on cash? If so then you’ll want to head to American Eagle later this month. The company is running a cool promotion that gives you a free smartphone — including several Android and BlackBerry models — for trying on a pair of jeans. If you end up getting the phone (and the required two-year contract) then you’ll get a $25 gift card as well. Here are the details:
From July 21 to August 3. Customers can choose from more than 40 phones from a variety of top brands including BlackBerry and Android smartphones and many others. Every customer who takes advantage of the promotion will also receive a $25 AE “Money Card” redeemable online or in stores.
While the phone selection isn’t exactly high-end, the price can’t be beat. Anyone thinking of taking advantage of this promotion?

my friend asked me about the aria. What do you think of it as a phone for people who want an iphone but are not tech savvy (sp?)
@tokz_21 iOS is easier to use than Android, so for some people it's probably not the best choice for your friend.
Oh good! I feel better. I was having recommendation remorse. I told him that att basically raped and disabled this phone. If he's going to pay for a smartphone data plan might as well make it an iphone.

I don't think they raped the Aria nearly as much as they did with the Backflip. You cannot however install and 3rd party apps. The Aria for me just doesn't have the screen real estate that I feel a true smartphone should have. Also I enjoy 3rd party apps too. ATT stripped BB Maps from my BB and replaced it with their Paid Nav app. I just went around them and installed Bell Mobility's OS 5.
Is there a list of the phones they are going to be "giving away"? I clicked what I thought was the list but there aren't any BBs on it

Ok maybe raped was going too far in my description but they did disable it. The best part of having an Android phone system is the 3rd party apps! This proves that at&t sucks big ones at times.

lol I didn't even see Tabs. I had a really long list running down one side of the page. I forgot I had Ad Block Plus running on my work PC and it took a big old dump on that page. Got it now thanks
DAMN IT. My BB Bold 9000 is on there. I just got a second one May 17th for $350 from AT&T.
