Samsung Epic 4G (Sprint) Sizzle Reel

Here’s a fun sizzle reel for Sprint’s upcoming Samsung Epic 4G, which is the company’s next Google Android phone that supports its 4G network. It looks like a pretty slick handset and I can’t wait to try it out! Check out the video (please) and let me know what you think (also please).

  1. That is a very impressive device. I wonder why Sprint gets the sliding keyboard while the others don't?

I'm interested to see how that custom UI operates and how carriers might try and cripple it.

I wonder if one of these custom UIs could lead to seamless syncing on my Mac?

  2. @smartguy Sprint probably paid to have the keyboard version. Samsung's Android UI isn't the best. It's a distant third behind HTC Sense and Motorola Blur.

Are you primarily concerned about media syncing? Aside from that, most everything else on Android is on the cloud.

That is an odd exclusive arrangement lol. A hardware addendum.

Media syncing primarily. My iphone does it so seamlessly that I'm pretty harsh on judgments.

  4. @smartguy It makes sense for Sprint. It already has the Evo 4G and needs another differentiator. Verizon has two good Android phones with keyboards and T-Mobile has a decent one, so neither of them really need it.
