What Do You Think Project Natal Will be Called?

PlayStation Move was allegedly codenamed PlayStation Arc before the name became official at GDC 2010. Obviously Project Natal is a codename and it’s 99 percent likely that MS will unveil its real name at E3 2010. Can you think of any good names for Microsoft’s motion-control scheme? Hopefully the company doesn’t pull a Windows CE (WinCE) and call it Xbox Flail…but you never know.

I think he meant it. That was a good one. I don't know I didn't think of when I was trying to say that. My way was a bit too convoluted.

thanks for the compliments or feedback but i think n8r just hit one of the best ones.

great job n8r. now i'm on my way home to crash. I'll talk to you guys whenever i wake up.

  5. Actually, I think they will keep Natal. They've already done this much work getting the name out there, I don't see a point in changing it now. That would confuse the sheep.

I am pretty sure its standard practice to not stick with the project name. Wii was Project Revolution long before Wii but now everyone knows what a Wii is.

    MS Longhorn became Vista.

  7. @SlickyFats

No project before Revolution. It was the Nintendo Revolution and I think they intended to keep that at one point. They didn't show it off to the masses until after the name change either. (I blame South Park for the success of the Wii) Natal has already made TV appearances and Microsoft has made sure to comment officially to it as Natal. (dropping project almost every time.) Also, having a "real" name is sure to help them characterize it from the competition and keep it in peoples minds better.

  8. Speaking of the Revolution, At blockbuster Wii in our inventory is under NREV.

WAVE = Will Allocate Vagina Elsewhere.

  9. @Ray

Codenames used to be in house talk. That doesn't seem to apply any more though. As for Revolution, they went with it until they finally revealed the console itself. (or was it the controllers?) Anyway, the public didn't see anything until after the name change/reveal.

Maybe I'm biased though. Both the Revolution and Natal are much better names than Wii and Move…

  10. Is it Nay-tul or Nuh-tall? or Nah-tal?

Needs a catchy name like the one is post 48.

  11. Street Fighter IV is on sale for $27.99 with other incentives: a $10 credit towards a future game and a $5 credit for MP3s. I really, really hope to get this game going for an RPad.tv Invitational (Xbox 360 version). If you're remotely interested in playing together, please consider this deal.
