Apple iPad Advertisement Hits the Oscars

I didn’t watch the Academy Awards last night, but a bunch of friends sent me texts and Twitter messages when a new iPad commercial aired during the show. I’ve posted it as a conversation piece and would love to hear your thoughts on it. It definitely has the usual Apple slickness, but does it make any of you want the product more? The iPad is launching on April 3, so expect the media blitz to continue!

  1. I didn't expect to see the ad for the iPad, but it didn't change my opinion on the product.

    still think it is overrated.

I did find Steve Martin's quip about Precious being the only movie nominated for Best Picture that had a decent video game to be a little amusing. That caught me off guard as well.

  2. It really looks like a digital photo frame. I am very UNimpressed with the iPad so far. I have a tablet and my hands are all over the thing when I use it. I see this being a big drawback once everyone starts randomly hitting things.

  3. reserving judgement for when I can go in to a store and play with one. I doubt that will be before April 3rd.

Still, I don't think I need the iPad, nor does anyone. Apple is amazing at selling things that people want, but not necessarily need though.
