He’s obsessed with something called the anti-life equation. He can fire all-powerful “omega beams” from his eyes. And, according to Latino Review, he’s set to be the villain in the upcoming Justice League movie. I’m talking about Darkseid, of course. A Jack Kirby creation, Darkseid is one of the most powerful baddies in the DC Universe and is an appropriate villain for a team comprised of heavy hitters like Superman and Wonder Woman. In addition to wielding god-like powers, Darkseid rules over the planet Apokolips with an iron fist.
(Did you know that Darkseid’s face was styled after Jack Palance and his personality was loosely based on Adolf Hitler?)
It’s a rumor for now and lots can change before the 2015 release, but Latino Review has a strong track record. As a fan of Jack Kirby’s Fourth World characters, I’d love to see Darkseid on the big screen. Hopefully this rumor pans out.

Wonder if they will just film all 3 at once like LOTR? I don’t think this movie will fail but it might have a more difficult time tying in like the Marvel movies were able to.
I’m guessing no, but a lot of the plans will be adjusted based on Superman’s performance.
I couldn’t see them starting a JL movie with any other baddie! Ok maybe one more Savage and the Legion of Doom
My big fear was that the movie would try to be too classic and go with Starro as the villain. A giant, telepathic starfish doesn’t translate well to the big screen.
Ha! Yeah I’m sure everyone in WB was anti that villain too but if they’re going to form the JL. I think vandal and the legion would be better.

This is a bad idea. If this “JLA vs. Darkseid” goes up against “Avengers vs. Thanos” DC will fail. They need to stop trying to follow in Marvel/Disney’s footsteps and come up with something better.
I’m not saying to go all “Crisis on Infinite Earth” with the first installment, but instead do something like Tokz suggested. Have a bunch of villains get together to be appropriate foils for the heroes.
By the way, I do think that a Crisis on Infinite Earth-style JLA trilogy would be f’n awesome eventually way down the line when the JLA has established itself as a viable movie franchise.

It would be better if they do a movie (or better yet: series of movies) based on the Civil War story line only if they (Disney) had the movie rights to Spider-Man and X-Men.

Yes a series of movies was what i had in mind, ranging from 4-6. Just because of the different story angles u have in that series. I dont think a single movie or a trilogy would do that storyline justice.
