I’d have to get rid of my coffee table in order to use Kinect for Xbox 360. I kind of like my coffee table. It’s useful and handsome. It’s also heavy. I’d worry about my right knee giving out if I had to move the coffee table every time I wanted to play Kinect…but that’s probably what I’m going to have to do.
RPadholics Iceman and N8R chatted with me about this topic yesterday: Do you have to rearrange your living room to use Xbox Kinect? Do you plan to? Do you find it ridiculous that this new form of gaming requires you to move furniture? Or is it worth it for the new and exciting experience?
I would have to slide everything back two to three feet, but I don't like that there has to be a clear designated 6×6 area for making. I will stick to the controllers, and I hope to god my gf doesn't want this thing.

Mac App Store is going to be enormous. It's another way to tie people into that ecosystem. Unusual that it seems separate from iTunes.
i dont have a coffee table, i go with the big ottoman instead, although to be honest, im not quite sure why i should buy kinect…

New MacBook Airs are pretty awesome, BUT they only have Core 2 Duo CPUs, which is somewhat understandable for positioning purposes.
I would have to move a (light) coffee table and an ottoman to play kinect. Of course that is the easy solution which also involves moving my xbox out from the bedroom for now. When my fiance and I get an apartment next year that won't be an issue because we each have one, so we will just keep one in the living room and the bedroom. But still there will be furniture to move around which I really don't feel like doing in order to play a game.

I am also really trying to figure out where to get the money together to get another DS (I've been prepping by starting to read your pokemusings articles and doing some research on breeding and training) and it has been making me anxious to get one. Now I just can't decide whether I only want/need a DS lite, DSi, or DSi XL. Or which one I will afford. Decisions decisions…

I am still reading mostly the old ones just to catch up, but they are interesting and fun. The more I keep reading about it all the more it makes me regret having sold either of my DS's before. All the more incentive to figure out which one I will get next.

I would, but my fiance wouldn't really be too happy with me for that. Since she works at a bank I always tell her to just tell me the vault combinations and I will organize something, that will take care of a few things. haha. She always tells me I'm not allowed to rob banks though.
Shame. I've always been able to come up with the absolute best plans for bank robberies, but alas, my conscience seems to frown upon actually carrying out such behavior.
Seriously. If I were to tell you a few of my plans for bank robberies, you would be like, "oh my god! That's brilliant! That could actually work!"

yeah i'm not down with moving furniture around. i'll wait to see what the buzz generates. i have room in the living room but i'd have to move a coffee table. i'll stick with PS move for now.
I'm disappointed that mostly all of Amazon's gold box deals have been 360 games only.
btw, bioshock 2, is 17.99 as the 12PDT deal.
I keep thinking I might buy that game in order to make myself finish Bioshock 1, but any spare cash I have is being put towards a DS.
my gf has a ds lite, it's white though. she hardly plays it. it's in good condition. it's my backup ds on trips. if you're interested i think we'd be up for selling it. if it was up to me, i'd still go with a ds lite, just because of the backwards compatibility. you can't play gbc or gba games on a dsi or dsixl.
Great point on the GBA compatibility. This is extremely important to Pokemon players that want to import their old Pokemon to the newer DS games.

That was something I have been conscious about for importing pokemon from the 3rd generation. Mostly it has been a debate between DS lite and DSi XL, because I like how it has a larger screen and that is appealing to me.
Also, I thought I would confirm with the resident pokemon expert something I sort of remember and what I have been seeing online…but you cannot trade or migrate pokemon from Gold/Silver/Crystal to Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Leafgreen/Firered?? I have traded from Blue/Red/Yellow to Gold/Silver/Crystal before…and I know I can migrate from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Leafgreen/Firered up to my Diamond cartridge- I just don't know about 2nd to 3rd generation.

Yeah I think I might be interested in that, definitely. I am selling my old 60gb hdd to my friend, and then trying to sell the rest of my old system for some extra cash towards a DS (ironic because I bought that system with the cash from selling my last DS). I'm also gonna be trying to sell a couple games I have lying around, so hopefully I get a couple bucks from the games and see what else I have that I have been meaning to get rid of.
What games do you have to sell?? Also i'll ask her and send you pics if you want.
I am selling Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise (bought it for me fiance and she didn't like it), Prince of Persia (not the newest one, but the one where you have to collect all of the light seeds), and probably Halo 3. Possibly Grand Theft Auto 4 because I keep thinking I might go back and play it, but I never do. And I want to get rid of Fight Night Round 3, but I want the last two achievements and got stuck so I'm being stubborn and not parting with it yet, lol.

Eating sushi and watching the Yankee game. This appears to be a lucky combination.
I played around with it a bit and it seems to work O.K. The only problem I noticed is that when I tried to change my avatar's clothes to my "avatar awarded" items, I couldn't see the preview on my avatar like I could for the other normal clothes.

Luckily I haven't set up my living room in my new place yet, so if Kinect comes out before I do, then maybe it'll have room in my house otherwise, I am not moving stuff everytime I want to play a game.
My Hobby- Looking at only fragments of complete sentences: "…if Kinect comes out before I do…" haha jk.
But I agree, if I were getting Kinect I would rather set up my living room (or whatever area it would go in) with Kinect in mind instead of rearranging a pre-existing setup to make room for Kinect.
