Being jet lagged in a foreign land means eating strange foods at 3:00AM. A lot of people swear by cold pizza, as if it undergoes a magical transformation overnight that turns it into a completely different food. Growing up in New York, my pizza standards are pretty high and I dislike what passes for pizza — cold or hot — in most of the world (especially California). As far as morning after foods go, I love cold KFC. Colonel Sanders secret blend of herbs and spices definitely combine for some magic that makes it taste great hot or cold in two very different ways.
Anyway, vote in on this silly poll I’ve concocted and share your thoughts. I’m sure you’ll provide some excellent answers.

Something very spicy. Boudin perhaps. If it has to be cold then let it be a dozen raw oysters on the half shell with plenty of horseradish cocktail sauce.

Meatloaf sandwich is the best leftover/cold food I can think of. Just don't go southern on it with all that gravy because mayonnaise is this best condiment to go with it. Now I wish I had some to eat T_T
I prefer breakfast foods. I don't travel too much by plane, but when I need a good meal in the morning after a rough car trip or a long night, etc. I go with breakfast. About 6 pieces of french toast, a few eggs, a pound of sausage, something to drink. That's a good breakfast right there!
Although I love cold pizza for breakfast and ate just that this morning (Santa Fe Pizza from a local Pub), I couldn't vote for it because as much as I love it the it doesn't love me throughout the day. I have had heartburn and an upset burning stomach most of the day due to that pizza and its copious amount of jalapenos.
I had to vote other because Jack-In-The-Box did not make the list. I can eat just about anything on their menu 24 hours a day. Breakfast Jack, egg rolls, Churros, bacon cheddar potato wedges.

I'm totally a "cold pizza" guy, but I've been known to partake in the cold KFC routine as well.
FYI, in our house, we'll make 2 stops to get the 12 pack of KFC boneless chicken strips and large fries from McDonalds. Also allows me to get my Dew and my wife to get the McD's Sweet tea.
Hmmm cold chicken tastes better then cold pizza too me lately. But I just prefer a good hot cup of coffee usually.
