Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Slated for May 25, 2010

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

When I wrote about the Japanese release date for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, few of you showed interest. Well, Konami has announced that the game will be released in North America on May 25, 2010. Are any of you interested now? It’s MGS! It’s Kojima! It’s Snake! Or is the fact that it’s a PlayStation Portable game kill your interest? In the immortal words of Information Society, “I wanna know…what you’re feeling. Tell me what’s on your mind!”

  1. If my psp was still in one piece, I would probably be pretty stoked. Once I get it fixed however, I will without a doubt be running around in a tank-shaped box. While it is a pretty awesome idea, Having four people get with it speaking distance to play a game, seems a little far fetched to me. Like I know in Japan everything is really close because well, its so little. Maybe in more urban areas I could see it, but I live in Cobb, Georgia. Everything is like 8 miles away from everything else. When I just got my PSP me and some friends got together and played Untold Legends, which was okay but wasn't what I expected. The only game I really enjoyed playing with people was Madden. I think the day of linking Game-boys at you local Wal-mart to show fools how to play Pokemon are long gone.

  2. I'm considering asking for a PSP this christmas so I can play this game. I also have an interest in Monster Hunter for some reason.

Is this a traditional MG game or is it a card game?

  3. @Smartguy

Its a traditional MGS game, But if you have no one to play with I assume there are AI Big Bosses and we all know how great AI partners work out. Ex. Resident Evil, Halo, Call of Duty.

  4. Well The way I see it is like a Conflict style MGS. Everyone on the team can choose specific load-out( Like focusing on stealth or focusing on Blowing $h4T up.) So each person focuses on certain things. Conflict was IMO was one of the games that made Four person Co-Op what it is today. That and Turtles in Time.

  5. I obviously need to do some homework on this game. I want a good narrative, traditional story game.
