My gaming weekend will pretty much be a rerun of last weekend: lots of Final Fantasy Dimensions and a good bit of Outernauts. The former is just a brilliant old-school JRPG. There are a lot of gamers that complain about the newer Final Fantasy games because they’re quite different from the old ones. They should stop complaining and pick up Dimensions. It’s especially excellent for fans of FFV. As for Outernauts, it’s something I go to multiple times a day. You should play too! Oh yeah, I also got my beta key for StarCraft II: Heart of the Storm. That’s probably too good to pass up.
How about you? What’s on your weekend playlist?
Damn you and your blizzard beta getting self.
Now I’m playing Guild Wars 2, Borderlands, TF2, LoL, Minecraft, D&DO and Sound Shapes. No, not all at once, but that’s the order of importance right now. I’ve needed to catch up on my console gaming for ages now, but there’s nothing good outside the Vita left in my house.
I haven’t stopped playing Gears of War 3 since I got it. I still have 11 more weeks to go for the socialite achievement, but I think I’m going to start mixing it up with a few games I got on XBLA. I have the demo for Rayman 3D and Sleeping Dogs so I’ll test drive those out and see if they are any good. I also bought Alan Wake American Nightmare on sale this week. I’ll have to give that game a go sometime this weekend.

Sleeping Dogs might be tough in demo form, depending on what sections of the game it gives you. The beginning is a slow burn. For most people, it’s all melee combat for at least the first five hours.
I played through the whole demo on Friday and I have to say that I’m not particularly encouraged to buy this thing. I mean, the atmosphere, style, and graphics are great, but just based off the demo; it plays like a John Woo wanna-be version of GTA IV meets Arkham Asylum/City’s combat while never quite reaching the level of the afore-mentioned games.
The demo was two missions. One was chasing a guy down as he was running through a crowded street, bumping into practically everybody along the way and culminating in a rooftop rumble. If the main character was wearing a black cape and a pointy-eared cowl, I’d swear they’d just ripped Arkham City off wholesale. The second mission was to scout out a warehouse. And by “scout” they mean “shot and brutally kill every single living soul you encounter in the warehouse in the most overt way possible.” This mission ended up with me dragging some wimp back across the burning warehouse while using him as a meat shield against his own guys that apparently like the guy enough to use him as a target practice decoy while casually trying to shoot at the air around my head.
If I ever do buy this game, it’ll be next year at the earliest and $20 at the most.

League of Legends. I foresee lots of Rengar, Cho, and Singed games.
Probably watching some movies and reading. I’m playing Pokemon and Mario on my DS here and there, but nothing serious. I’d love to have a 3DS again at this point because I want to play some of the new mario games and Luigi’s Mansion 2 should be coming out soon.
