Fallout Continues to Be the Best Videogame Adaptation on TV

Fallout Season 2 Review

The first season of Fallout on Amazon Prime was a delightful surprise. While I greatly respect the world Todd Howard and his Bethesda crew have created, I wasn’t sure how it would translate to episodic television. The first season took elements from the games, added some original writing and talented actors, and made for the best videogame-to-television adaptation to date. With that in mind, my friends and I were anxious for this Fallout Season 2 review.

Joining me in the video below are two colleagues from the videogame business (Mac Marshall and Marcus Beer) and the host of the Revisiting the Mania podcast (Carlos Torres). All four of us have spent hundreds of hours playing the Fallout games and all four of us loved the first season of the show. While we agree that it’s still the best videogame adaptation you’ll see on TV, each of us had slight nitpicks in our Fallout Season 2 review. One thing we could all agree on is that…

…Thaddeus Completely Rules

Thaddeus | Fallout Season 2

He’s not a major character by any means, but Thaddeus entertained us greatly (particularly Mac and me). In the crazy, violent, and machination-filled world of Fallout, Thaddeus was an earnest and loyal character that was full of heart. While he delivered some hilarious scenes in the second season, he never became a joke. In fact, there were many times that he was the heart of a scene or the heart of an episode.

The RPadTV crew loves Thaddeus and so should you. (That said, you should absolutely rail on Carlos for making a joke about Thaddeus exercising his right to bear arms.)

What’s Your Fallout Season 2 Review Take?

Marcus, Carlos, Mac, and I really enjoyed Fallout’s second season and can’t wait for more. After you’ve watched our review video, please let me know if you agree or disagree with our opinions, as well as if there are any aspects of the show that we’ve overlooked.
