At the 2012 American Music Awards, Korean popstar and burgeoning Internet legend Psy performed his hit “Gangnam Style” with some help from MC Hammer. A mashup of Psy’s smash and Hammer’s “2 Legit 2 Quit” ensued…and it was glorious. It was easily the best teamup of 2012 and quite possibly the most amazing pairing since Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman appeared together in the March 2008 issue of W.
First time hearing and seeing Gangnam Style. Terrible, absolutely terrible. Hammer was cool though.
It’s this decade’s “Macarena,” though Psy is supposed to be cheesy. Dude is likely going to hit one-billion view on YouTube. That’s amazing.
Yeah I was thinking about the Macarena while watching it. The YouTube hits he has is effing mind numbing and while I was at work today I realized that it’s sad that Hammer isn’t as big as Psy. Well funny not really sad.
Ha that was entertaining. I wonder how much it took to get MC Hammer to do that? I’m thinking about $200.
Still though, if that video hits 1 billion that would be simply amazing.
