My fine friend Mark was at the Metal Gear Solid 25th anniversary jammie and tweeted that Avi Arad will be producing a Metal Gear Solid movie with Columbia Pictures. Is this something you’d be interested in? Obviously the Metal Gear Solid franchise is tremendously popular and has a global appeal. There are certainly many gamers that would love to see MGS: The Movie. MGS detractors ding the games for their lengthy cutscenes and will say that designer Hideo Kojima has already made several movies through his games.

Everyone knows that movie adaptations aren’t clones of the source material. I’d be down to see it.
It needs to be CGI.
Yes I would love to see a video game movie made with good CGI. I’m not a huge Final Fantasy game fan, but I love the movies because they didn’t define a character with an actor’s face. CGI is the way to go, IMO, with video game movies.
While I’m sure playing one of the games would provide a better story than a movie will, but I am more likely to watch a movie based on MGS than play one of the games.
I will see it. Id be interested to see who plays snake.
Any casting ideas?
What is david hayter up to?
That was my first thought. If DH isn’t somehow involved in this, I’ll be disappointed.
Clint Eastwood (from 30 years ago).
Get the time machine!
It has to be animated. The voices have to remain the same. This movie will be worse than the DOA movie if it is live action.
