I’m still in New York, so my only gaming device is my iPad 2012. Thankfully, it’s awesome and it has awesome games! Jetpack Joyride and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP received big updates this week. That’s a good excuse to revisit those fine games. Skylanders: Cloud Patrol is always great for several rounds of cartoonish shooting. Of course I still play Civilization: Revolution every day. Yeah, for work and play, the new iPad completely rules.
How about you? What’s on your weekend playlist?
SWTOR, ME3 Multiplayer and The Witcher 2.
I must say, I'm not loving The Witcher 2 as much as I wish I was. I'm not a fan of the way they've handled the controls on the 360. You have to pause the game to change which spell (singular) you have equipped, and frankly even on the easy mode I feel like the game's way too hard. Too many enemies on screen at once even at low levels. I'd like some sort of area effect attacks for crowd control. It's a real barrier to truly enjoy what seems like a fabulous story. Also, all the naughty bits, gore and cursing means I more or less have to play it alone, in the dark, under the covers where my 5 year old can't see it at all, which means I can't really dive in the way I'd like to.
I'm going to my sister's dance recital at Purdue tomorrow with my wife. I'm also going to be reading more Watchmen and Ultimate Spider-Man since I am expecting volumes two and three next Wednesday. There will also possibly be some MW3 or Halo Anniversary somewhere in there too if I get the time. Currently it's Catan on XBLA and trying to catch up on a couple movies as well. If I decide to spend a couple bucks I will also be getting a couple more books on my Kindle to read, but the jury is still out on that one since Ultimate Spider-Man will cost some money as will the first tpb of the New 52 Batman if I order that next week also.
Fortunately I can't think of any new games I want as my spare money is all going towards reading material right now.
Excellent books. I lost track of how many times I've read Watchmen.
It's a great story. I've watched the movie tons of times as well as some of the animated tv show from a couple years back. I'm loving the book so far though. Kind of wish now that I would have paid extra for the hardcover edition, but that was more than double what I paid for my paperback edition.
I haven't read any of the New 52 Batman yet, but I'm placing the pressure on Tokz since he has recommended it to me so highly. He also got me a free copy of the Green Lantern #1 which has me more interested in that story as well. Then there is also Nightwing's story which I'm also told is a good read. That tpb doesn't come out until October though.
I still have to read A Death in the Family and Gotham by Gaslight though. GbG was a great find though. I got an original printing of it in what seems like perfect condition, so I'm nervous about reading it and creasing the pages or something.
Edit: If I had time I suppose I could always read Everlast and see if it's any good, since I have an autographed copy laying around.
I picked up AC Revelations so I'm gonna get into that before AC3 drops.
It came with the original AC, so I'm probably gonna replay that when I'm done with Revelations.
Really? I didn't know that AC:R came with AC1. Is that some kind of special that Amazon is having? For the PS3 or 360?

It's a PS3 thing. The 360 version doesn't come with it.
My theory is that there was a crapload of space left on the blu-ray disc, so they were like "screw it, put AC1 on there too".
It's actually why I bought it for PS3 instead of going for the cheevos.
Starting new job Monday. So I want to get dr2 knocked out. Swtor and mw3.
@nightshade
Have u used the legacy abilities or the pet yet? I haven't created a new toon to test out those abilities and wanted to see how u liked it so far.
Dude, when are you usually on? The few times I do see you online is when you're playing MW3 with Bsukenyan. I could help you finish up tomorrow if N8 isn't around and you give me a time. I'm going to the Marlins game tonight even though they suck ass. At least the stadium is nice… a total waste of taxpayer money, but still nice.

I have very eclectic gaming hours. But that Should change with my new job. If use google+ or any instant message app i can hit u up before I log on. Usually log on when someone tells me to. Bsu and I text each other to see if we can play.
Well, I'm not on any social network, but I did send you a message over XBL with my phone number. You can use that to text me whenever you want to do any co-op.

I have 4 toons, A Lvl 50 Gunslinger (DPS), Lvl 50 Assassin (DPS), Lvl 42 Operative (Healer) & a Lvl 18 Sage (Healer). So yes I've used the Legacy Abilities. My Sage loves to toss around Lightning Storm, and my operative loves to Dirty Kick you in the jimmy. It's great. I haven't hoarded enough cash to unlock some of the other stuff I want though, like the mailbox or GTN in my ship. The GTN requires Legacy 25 and 5,000,000 credits, so that's what we like to call a "long term goal," as even with 4 toons and 2 of them at Lvl 50, I'm "only" Legacy Lv 21.
The pet is "fun," but has no real "use," so I don't have it out very much.
Wow! I'll never get to ur level! But I can't wait to start a new toon to at least try out the legacy abilities.
I leveled up with a friend who used an operative and really liked that story. We raised one of each for all the stories.
I want to get through all 8 class stories. So far I really like the Agent's story, and really like the Inquisitor and Smuggler's stories as well. I'm not really far enough into the Consular to say one way or the other.
