Dakota Fanning Ad For Marc Jacobs “Oh, Lola!” Banned in UK

I’m not sure what’s more surprising — the British government banning Dakota Fanning’s advertisement for Marc Jacobs’ Oh, Lola! perfume or that Dakota Fanning is getting kind of hot. On one hand, England is the country that gave us “Page 3 Girls”. I figured those cats would be okay with an ad featuring an attractive 17-year old star. (Plus, those guys produced Emma Watson.) On the other hand, I never would have guessed the adorable girl from I Am Sam would transform into a sexy young woman.

Check out the photo from the advertisement below and share your thoughts on the Oh, Lola! banning.

    1. Quagmire: Hey there sweetie, how old are you?
      Connie: 16.
      Quagmire: 18? You're first.
      Connie: Mom!
Quagmire: I like where this is goin'! Giggidy, giggidy, gig-gi-dy!

  1. I see nothing exploitative or explicit here. Maybe they're pisses she isn't showing any crooked teeth.

  2. The only thing I see that can be offensive is where she has the bottle placed and even then it's like really? I'm sure no one really thought of that when the pose was chosen from all the shots taken.

    1. I'm sure that shot was chosen specifically for where everything was placed. Ads like that, especially for such an expensive brand, are carefully and meticulously set up.

I still don't see any reason to ban this ad though.

    2. Well, I wouldn’t' worry about it too much. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone (*cough, N8, cough*) photoshops the perfume bottle out of there and replaces it with a naughty adult toy.

  3. I think we should try to come up with the tagline:

    Smells Like Children
    Eau De Jailbait
    For Kids, Bi Kids
    Someone Slap Her Mother
Wear It Where The Sun Don't Shine
Strong Enough For Women, But PH Balanced for Juveniles
    For Everything Else… There's Megan's Law
