Jim Henson would have been 75-years old today. He was one of the most extraordinary people that ever lived. He touched the lives of millions of people. He helped people learn. He made people laugh. He made people cry. He created wonderful programming like The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, Dinosaurs, and more. He was a huge reason why Sesame Street became so popular and successful. His behind-the-scenes work on The Empire Strikes Back helped make Yoda one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe. He entertained people of all ages, and he did it with heart and soul.
Kindly celebrate the life of Jim Henson with me today. What were your favorite Jim Henson movies and TV shows? Which Jim Henson characters were your favorites?
The Dark Crystal is my favorite Henson movie, there is so much back story and history for that movie, it almost seems unreal. Other than the muppets I loved Fragle Rock.
That movie was on a different level of awesome.
Wow… so many.
I think that all in all, Sesame Street has to take the cake. I have no idea what life would be like without Sesame Street.
The Muppet Show was always my favorite. Beaker and Animal would always make me crack up. When I became older, it was the two old geezers in the balcony that made me laugh the most.
I hated it when Kermit's voice changed on the show. They should have found a better voice impersonator for Jim Henson.

I never really liked sesame street, but fraggle rock was awesome when I was a kid. I watched that all the time. The muppet show is a good one too, and I still like watching Muppet Treasure Island.
