Some of you will be shocked by the news that I’ll be spending a good chunk of the weekend playing Dragon Age II. I’ve already beaten the game as a rogue and I’m nearly there as a warrior. I have a mage run planned before running through Kirkwall as a rogue once again. Some people are drinking the Haterade on this one, but I think it’s a great game.
How about you? What’s on your weekend playlist?
Dragon Age II.
Probably shoot some kids tonight on CoD. Need a night or 3 off of RIft. Sunday might play some Rift again.
Tomorrow is beer fest and then going to the Hornets game vs Boston.
Celebrating my fiance's birthday (it was yesterday) and maybe playing some games, mostly on my DS. I've actually gone back to HeartGold for a little while to do some more IV breeding. The pacing in my Black version feels messed up right before the Elite Four and I didn't feel like grinding even more so I went back to breeding. I like having everything be new in Black, but not having a ditto is a hard problem to work through, and an issue that I feel is rather annoying.
I might go back to Black version soon though so I can finish my grinding and beat the Elite Four though.
I asked my girl to get me a SNES or PS1 or 2 and a few throw back games. Hopefully she did but if not I will beat Bayonetta for the 3rd time this weekend.
@BB
I really hope you get an old machine. It's fun dude. I bought my girlfriend an NES for the first bday we celebrated together. The zapper is useless now since we only have LCD and plasma in the house but it is fun nonetheless. In fact, I'd invite you over for Dr. Mario and some cold beer..but that living in Boston thing man…lol.
Lol yea it's just a little out of range.
GF got me Bullet Storm, Walking Dead graphic novel Vol 1, and a few books for the bday. I'm very satisfied.
that's a good haul
So I'm just about done with my second playthrough of Dragon Age II, and a couple of things have struck me:
1) Even knowing what happens later in the game, it is naturally hard for me to side with an oppressive force.
2) Having also just finished reading the Dragon Age novel "The Calling," I am regretting certain decisions I made while playing through Awakening. However, I only played through Awakening once, and I think I may play though it for my other two Origins characters before I play Dragon Age II again.
I've now sided with both sides. They're both different shades of wacky.
I've also encountered all three version of Alistair — king, drunk, and warden. That was pretty cool.
Several signs point to the third game taking place in Orlais. I'm scared of the dopey French accents.
Yeah, it does seem like we're headed to Orlais next. And I think I'm coming around to the Sandal conspiracy theorists as well.
I sided with the mages both playthoughs, but Bethany had different fates. This was by choice. Next playthrough is as a Mage and I think I'm looking forward to the irony of siding with the templars as a mage. I may even be a blood mage who sides with the templars. Oh delicious irony. Still deciding though. I'm going to play through Awakening again though first, so I'll have time to decide. I only played through it once and I don't remember it very well.
Alistair was King in both games I've played so far. I usually tended to side with him over Logain or his daughter. I do have a playthrough where he dies, I just don't remember which one it was. I beat Origins 4 times, and just played through the dwarf origin quests. I've never been much for dwarves, and I actually started a 5th playthough as an evil mage, but never got past level 8 or thereabouts.
